Ternary I-III-VI semiconductors are useful light-capture materials, but the presence of a special donor-acceptor pair complicates the dynamics of carriers in the photocatalytic process, and the combined effect of multiple types of defects makes it difficult to study the single type of defect on carrier dynamics. Here, excess inorganic S ligand is used to passivate the surface defects of the nonstoichiometric ratio Ag-In-Zn-S quantum dots (QDs), which enables the systematic investigation of the effects of high-density donor-acceptor pairs on the carrier separation and transfer path during photocatalysis. The results show that the donor-acceptor pair defects in quantum dots can effectively separate the carriers because the defects generated by the donor or acceptor can effectively "store" the carriers at the fixed energy level and provide an additional path for the transfer of the carriers.

Electrostatic adsorption is an enzyme immobilization method that effectively maintains enzyme activity and exhibits considerable binding efficiency. However, enzymes carry different charges at their respective reaction pH levels, which prevents the use of the same carrier to immobilize enzymes with different charges. In this study, we employed a template-mediated polysaccharide-enzyme coupling self-assembly strategy to develop a charge-controllable supramolecular immobilization carrier by regulating the charge properties of carboxymethyl chitosan, enabling the universal immobilization of enzymes with different charge levels across a range of reaction pH values.

This work aims to explore the ability of molten salt to solve salt deposition in supercritical water (SCW) related technologies including supercritical water oxidation and supercritical water gasification, with KNO and NaSO as examples. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) can help plants absorb more mineral nutrients after they colonize plant roots, and the mycelia harmonize the soil structure and physical and chemical properties by secreting compounds. AMF species co-evolve with their habitat's geographic conditions and hosts; this gradually causes differences in the AMF species. By using Melzer's reagent to analyze the morphology and using Illumina Miseq sequencing technology to perform the molecular identification of AMF communities among the four typical planting areas (Zhongning, Guyuan, Jinghe, and Dulan) investigated, the variety of roots and rhizosphere AMF communities was greater in the Zhongning area, and every region additionally had endemic species.

To investigate the renal protective effects of the polysaccharide LEP-1a and derivatives of selenium (SeLEP-1a) from Lachnum YM38, cisplatin (CP) was used to establish an acute kidney model. Liquid metal batteries (LMBs), with the merits of long lifespan and low cost, are deemed as one of the most promising energy storage technologies for large-scale energy storage applications due to the use of liquid metal electrodes and molten salt electrolytes. However, the consequent problem is that the poor wettability between graphite-based collectors and the liquid metal/alloy electrodes leads to large contact resistance, which limits the efficiency and stability of the battery.
