- - The study aimed to analyze the chemical makeup of tooth enamel in two-day-old mice born to mothers on a high-cholesterol diet using energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.
- - Mice were divided into two groups: one on a standard diet and the other on a cholesterol-rich diet, with enamel samples taken from their incisors to assess composition differences.
- - Findings indicated that pups from hypercholesterolemic mothers had lower calcium levels and altered mineralization in their enamel, potentially leading to structural imperfections that could contribute to early childhood caries.
Objective: The aim: To evaluate the mRNA expression of the key regulators of osteogenesis - osteocalcin and BMP-2 in the mouse embryos mandible (17th day of pregnancy) which were borne by females on high-cholesterol diet for 30 days before fertilization and throughout pregnancy.
Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: Experimental hypercholesterolemia (2%) was simulated by adding Cholesterol to the diet for 60 days. In experiment were used 40 mature female white mice that were randomly divided to control and experimental groups.

Deposits on teeth may differ in color and degree of cariogenicity. Their prevalence rate is up to 18%. The review of relevant literature revealed a lack of classification of stained plaque in children.
