The viewpoint that unitization provides a possibility of increasing the contribution of familiarity to associative memory has been widely accepted, but its effects on associative memory and recollection remain controversial. The current study aims to explain these mixed results by considering a potential moderator: changes in the level of unitization from encoding to retrieval phases. During the encoding phase, participants learned the related and unrelated picture pairs (i.

Patients were randomly assigned to either the control group (145 patients) or the experimental group (149 patients).
Interventions: The control group received traditional adhesive tape fixation for drains, while the experimental group utilized a newly developed fixation patch combined with a unique "C" and "S" fixation method.
Lactylation, a novel discovered posttranslational modification, is a vital component of lactate function and is prevalent in a wide range of cells, interacting with both histone and non-histone proteins. Recent studies have confirmed that lactylation as a new contributor to epigenetic landscape is involved in multiple pathological processes. Accumulating evidence reveals that lactylation exists in different pathophysiological states and leads to inflammation and cancer; however, few mechanisms of lactylation have been elaborated.

Magnesium/lithium hybrid-ion batteries (MLHBs) combining fast kinetics of Li ions and a dendrite-free Mg anode are promising. Here, we describe our development of an MLHB using lamellar SnSe/SnSe/SnO as cathode material and an all-phenyl complex (APC)-based electrolyte.

To discuss the association of the blood lipid and glucose levels of patients with the prognosis of aSAH, and verify that high blood lipid and glucose levels are important factors affecting adverse prognosis.
Methods: All patients with aSAH were collected as the case group, which was divided into two groups according to the modified Rankin Scores (mRS), the good prognosis group (Group A, mRS < 3) and the adverse prognosis group (Group B,mRS ≥3).
Although the silicon (Si) anode has a high theoretical capacity, large volume-expansion would lead to rapid capacity decay. Here, a core-nest structured Si@SnSSe/carbon (Si@SnSSe/C) is developed using silicon as the core and SnSSe/carbon as a binary nest. Both the core-nest structure and carbon matrix enable a stable hybrid structure during charge and discharge.

Here, we develop an MLHB constructed of a hollow multi-layered NiS/CoS/carbon cathode and an all-phenyl-complex/lithium chloride (APC-LiCl) electrolyte. The hollow multi-layered structure and carbon matrix accommodate volumetric expansion and facilitate electrolyte penetration.

Here we report a quasi-solid-state self-healing AZIB by using a hybrid hydrogel which consists of dual-crosslinked polyacrylamide and polyvinyl alcohol as a flexible electrolyte and a cobalt hexacyanoferrate (KCo[Fe(CN)]·12.6HO) Prussian blue analogue as the cathode material.

We assess whether the size of the stent relative to that of the vessel (the stent-to-vessel diameter ratio, or SVR) may be predictive of the development of ISS after treatment with flow diverters.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysms who underwent flow-diversion treatment using either the Pipeline or Tubridge embolization device from September 2018 to September 2022.
Introduction: The finding that familiarity can support associative memory by unitizing the to -be-learned items into a novel representation has been widely accepted, but its effects on overall performance of associative memory and recollection are still controversial.
Methods: The current study aims to elucidate these discrepancies by identifying potential moderating factors through a combined approach of meta-analysis and behavioral experiment.
Results: Results consistently showed that changes in the level of unitization and age groups were two important moderators.
Some studies have confirmed the neuroprotective effect of remote ischemic conditioning against stroke. Although numerous animal researches have shown that the neuroprotective effect of remote ischemic conditioning may be related to neuroinflammation, cellular immunity, apoptosis, and autophagy, the exact underlying molecular mechanisms are unclear. This review summarizes the current status of different types of remote ischemic conditioning methods in animal and clinical studies and analyzes their commonalities and differences in neuroprotective mechanisms and signaling pathways.

Dysbiosis of the gut microbiota is associated with neurological impairment in Traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients. Our previous study found that TBI results in a decrease in the abundance of Prevotella copri (P.

Herein, a VO@carbon@SnS composite is developed by coating SnS quantum dots (QDs) on lamellar VO@carbon nanorods, yielding a high-performance aluminum-ion battery cathode. SnS QDs embedded in VO@carbon accelerate electron transport, while the coating of carbon improves cycling stability.

Methods: CTA and 3-dimensional rotational angiography (3DRA) of 3 IAs in 2 patients were retrospectively analyzed in this study. Hemodynamics and morphological parameters were compared between a ruptured IA and an unruptured IA in case1, and between before and after aneurysm rupture in case 2.
Purpose: The triglyceride glucose (TyG) index and TyG-related indicators have been proposed as a marker of insulin resistance. It is unclear which is the best indicator to predict diabetes mellitus (DM) in Chinese. This study aimed to investigate the predictive value of different biomarkers for the incidence of DM.
