Introduction: In 2020, the COVID-19 epidemic swept the world, and many national health systems faced serious challenges. To improve future public health responses, it's necessary to evaluate the performance of each country's health system.

Methods: We developed a resilience evaluation system for national health systems based on their responses to COVID-19 using four resilience dimensions: government governance and prevention, health financing, health service provision, and health workers.

The porous nano-sized metal-organic framework (nanoMOF) and its proper surface modification could greatly promote the drug loading capability and introduce biocompatibility, biodegradability, and targeting functions into nano-drug delivery systems. Herein, the HACD@ADA-PA/MIL-101_NH (Fe)-P nanoparticle was successfully fabricated through supramolecular and coordination interactions from three building blocks, including hierarchically porous MIL-101_NH (Fe)-P nanoMOF, phosphite-modified adamantane (ADA-PA), and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD)-modified hyaluronic acid (HACD). The obtained HACD@ADA-PA/MIL-101_NH (Fe)-P nanoparticle was nano-sized and highly stable in physiological fluids.

Supramolecular aggregation-induced emission (AIE) has become a research hotspot in cell imaging. Herein, supramolecular assembly with AIE effect was constructed in two stages, where adamantane modified tetraphenylethene self-assembly emitted weak fluorescence, and then after adding β-cyclodextrin modified hyaluronic acid, the formed nanoparticles enhanced AIE fluorescence for targeted cancer cell imaging.

Acireductone dioxygenase (ARD) is a metal-binding metalloenzyme and involved in the methionine salvage pathway. In rice, binds Fe and catalyzes the formation of 2-keto-4-methylthiobutyrate (KMTB) to produce methionine, which is an initial substrate in ethylene synthesis pathway. Here, we report that overexpression of elevates the endogenous ethylene release rate, enhances the tolerance to submergence stress, and reduces the sensitivity to drought, salt, and osmotic stresses in rice.
