Efficacy Analysis of Bronchial Arterial Chemoembolization for Nonsmall Cell Lung Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

This study aims to comprehensively evaluate the efficacy and safety of bronchial arterial chemoembolization (BACE) in the treatment of advanced nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) through a meta-analysis of single-group rate, providing evidence-based guidance for clinical treatment. A systematic search was conducted in PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Embase, and Web of Science databases for relevant studies up to January 15, 2024. Inclusion criteria encompassed single-arm or multi-arm studies of nonrandomized controlled trials, observational studies, and single-arm studies in English language, focusing on NSCLC patients treated with BACE.

At present, although phototherapy and related imaging have proven to be promising cancer diagnosis and treatment strategies, the free diffusion of photosensitizers into normal tissues can cause side effects, and the efficiency of photodynamic therapy (PDT) can also be limited by the tumor hypoxic microenvironment. Herein, we designed and prepared a new cancer nanoplatform containing Au nanoclusters (NCs)@ leaf extract (PMLE) with both responsiveness to near-infrared (NIR) laser irradiation and tumor microenvironment (TME) by facile redox and coordination reactions. Then, the Au NCs@PMLE/Ca hydrogel was constructed inside and on the surface of tumors for locoregional antitumor activity under 808 nm laser irradiation.

The Beneficial Effects of Electroacupuncture at PC6 Acupoints (Neiguan) on Myocardial Ischemia in ASIC3 -/- mice.

This study aims to investigate the possible mechanisms of electroacupuncture (EA) at PC6 to improve myocardial ischemia (MI) by regulating the cardiac transient outward potassium current channel (Ito). According to the random number table, the mice were divided into six groups of six mice each: control group, MI group, PC6, LU7 (Lieque-point), ST36 (Zusanli-point), and nonacupoint group. Mice in the control group were injected with saline (20 mg/kg, 24 hours interval), and the other ASIC3 -/- mice were injected subcutaneously twice with isoproterenol (ISO) (20 mg/kg, 24 hours interval).
