The use of pesticides has increased with the development of agriculture. However, due to the trace content and the matrix's inherent complexity in environmental water, development of rapid and sensitive detection method present significant challenges in the analysis of pesticide residues. The study synthesized magnetic graphene oxide (MGO) by combining superparamagnetic nanoparticles with the easy modification of graphene oxide (GO).

Article Synopsis
  • Researchers developed magnetic molecularly imprinted polymers (MMIPs) using modified β-cyclodextrin as a functional monomer, which improves selectivity for trace pollutants like bisphenol A (BPA) in complex samples.
  • MMIPs were created with FeO nanoparticles and demonstrated high crystallinity, excellent adsorption capacity, a quick rebinding rate, and strong reusability.
  • The study highlights the use of MMIPs in conjunction with magnetic solid-phase extraction and advanced detection methods, offering new strategies for effectively monitoring environmental pollutants in challenging matrices like water and milk.

In order to reduce the energy consumption of buildings, an air source heat pump assisted rooftop photovoltaic-thermal integration system is designed. The installation area of photovoltaic modules and collectors will not only affect the power side, but also affect the thermal side. Therefore, the basic architecture of the photovoltaic photothermal integration system is first established, and then the improved whale algorithm is used to optimize the photovoltaic photothermal integration system with the daily operating cost as the optimization goal.

Efficiently detecting diamide insecticides in environmental water is challenging due to their low concentrations and complex matrix interferences. In this study, we developed ionic liquids (ILs)-incorporated magnetic molecularly imprinted polymers (IL-MMIPs) for the detection of diamide insecticides, capitalizing on the advantages of ILs and quick magnetic separation through surface imprinting. Tetrachlorantraniliprole was used as the template, and a specific IL, 1-vinyl-3-ethylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([VEIm][PF]), was employed as the functional monomer.

In this manuscript, a novel strategy to design and prepare magnetic molecularly imprinted polymers (MMIPs) is proposed. Based on the synthesized MMIPs, a fluorescent sensor for low-cost and fast detection of Sudan I was established. Under the optimal conditions, the fluorescence intensity of MMIPs decreased linearly with the concentration of Sudan I in the range of 1-40 μM, and the detection limit was 0.

-cyclodextrin (-CD) and its derivatives are an emerging class of functional monomers that find widespread use in molecular imprinting. It is well known that -CD and its derivatives are capable of forming host-guest interaction inclusion complexes with many guest molecules. Molecularly imprinted polymers prepared via this type of interaction have the advantages of high stability and excellent selectivity.

Resistance to chemotherapy and molecularly targeted therapies is a major problem in current leukemia treatments. Here, we investigated cross-talk between the miR-221 network and P-glycoprotein (P-gp) in doxorubicin-induced drug resistance of leukemia cells. Multifunctional gold nanoparticles were designed and synthesized to co-deliver three anticancer agents, AS1411, doxorubicin and anti-221, for improving leukemia treatment efficacy.
