BACKGROUND Hepatitis B virus (HBV) genotypes show genomic variations, resulting in different CpG islands in each HBV genotypes or subgenotype. This study aimed to establish reference sequences for each HBV subgenotype of A-H genotypes and to analyze the characteristics of the CpG islands. MATERIAL AND METHODS There were 3,037 retrieved whole-genome sequences of HBV genotypes A-H from GenBank, 28 subgenotype reference sequences were established for these genotypes.

Methods: The relevant trials were collected using a database search of MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, the China Journal Full-text Database, and the National Institute of Health Clinical Trials Database. The 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival/DFS rates were considered to be the primary end points.
Purpose: GOLPH3 has been shown to be involved in glioma proliferation. In this study, we aimed to demonstrate that GOLPH3 can serve as a target for glioma gene therapy.
Methods: During the experiment, cationic liposomes with angiopep-2 (A2-CL) were used to deliver siGOLPH3 crossing the blood-brain barrier and reaching the glioma.
Anoikis is a form of apoptosis induced upon cell detachment from extracellular matrix. It has been determined that acquisition of resistance to anoikis is a critical step for tumor cell metastasis. MiR-21, the most prominent oncomiR, plays an important role in tumor progression.

Therefore, we preliminarily explored the relationship between electrophysiological characteristics and the changes in cardiac function of 24 patients undergoing OPCAB.
Methods: We used the CARTO3 system for epicardial electrophysiological mapping before surgery, during left anterior descending branch anastomosis, diagonal branch anastomosis and after surgery for 24 patients undergoing OPCAB.
To explore risk factors of vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) among women of reproductive age in Xi'an district and then to offer reference for clinical prevention and treatment of VVC. Patients from the outpatient department of gynecology and obstetrics in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University from June 2016 to May 2017 were recruited strictly according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Participants diagnosed as simple VVC were assigned to the case group, while women who underwent routine gynecological examination and had normal vaginal microflora were assigned to the control group.

Molybdenum disulfide (MoS), as a promising gas-sensing material, has gained intense interest because of its large surface-to-volume ratio, air stability, and various active sites for functionalization. However, MoS-based gas sensors still suffer from low sensitivity, slow response, and weak recovery at room temperature, especially for NO. Fabrication of heterostructures may be an effective way to modulate the intrinsic electronic properties of MoS nanosheets (NSs), thereby achieving high sensitivity and excellent recovery properties.

Hence, we performed this meta-analysis to evaluate the relationship between KIF1B (rs17401966) polymorphism and HCC risk.
Methods: Databases including PubMed, Web of Science and the Cochrane Library and bibliographies of relevant papers were screened to identify relevant studies published up to March 25, 2018.

Recently, the chemotherapeutic drug-induced cellular senescence has been considered a promising anti-cancer approach. The drug-induced senescence, which shows both similar and different hallmarks from replicative and oncogene-induced senescence, was regarded as a key determinant of tumor response to chemotherapy in vitro and in vivo. To date, an amount of effective chemotherapeutic drugs that can evoke senescence in cancer cells have been reported.

MAO-treated porous Ti6Al4V holds enormous potential for use in orthopedic implants due to their excellent biocompatibility and favourable mechanical strength. However, the effects on the V ion accumulation and release following the MAO-treated Ti6Al4V remain undetermined. The aim of the present study was to assess the effects of Vanadium on biocompatibility.

Direct conversion of lignocellulosic biomass for butyric acid production is still challenging because of competition among microorganisms. In a consolidated hydrolysis/fermentation bioprocessing (CBP) the microbial structure may eventually prefer the production of caproic acid rather than butyric acid production.

In many chronic diseases, for example cancer, PTP is a potential therapeutic target for cancer treatment. In the last two decades, dozens of PTP inhibitors which specifically target individual PTP molecules were developed as therapeutic agents.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA facile, specific, seed-assisted strategy for the synthesis of EU-1/ZSM-48 co-crystalline zeolites in the presence of hexamethonium ions (HM ) has been developed. EU-1/ZSM-48 co-crystalline zeolites with various phase proportions, with EU-1 in the range of 25 wt %-86 wt %, were obtained by adding high-silica EU-1 seeds (SiO /Al O ratio of 300) and adjusting the synthesis parameters. Not only can the phase proportions of EU-1/ZSM-48 co-crystalline zeolites be controlled, but also the stability period for co-crystallization of the two phases can be extended through varying the amount of EU-1 seeds and the HM template.

Molybdenum disulfide (MoS)-based humidity sensors suffer from low sensitivity and long response time. Herein, this problem has been effectively solved by modifying MoS nanosheets using carbon dots (CDs) with abundant functional groups via a convenient and facile hydrothermal method. The mechanism for the enhanced humidity response of CD-modified MoS has been proposed through the characterization of physical and chemical properties of the as-prepared composites.
