We compared the long-term efficacy and incidence of myringitis after cartilage graft underlay myringoplasty for chronic tympanic membrane (TM) perforations with and without external ear canal (EAC) packing. : In total, 129 patients who met the inclusion criteria were allocated to either the EAC packing (packing) group or the no-EAC packing (no-packing) group. All patients underwent endoscopic cartilage graft underlay myringoplasty.

Comparison between F-DCFPyL PET/MRI-guided ultrasound fusion targeted biopsy and systematic biopsy for tumor detection and grading in selected patients: A prospective randomized controlled trial.

Objective: This study aimed to compare the upgrade rate and cancer detection rate between the F-DCFPyL PET/MRI-guided ultrasound fusion targeted biopsy (TB) and systematic biopsy in selected patients with suspected prostate cancer (the molecular imaging prostate-specific membrane antigen score of ≥2 and multiparametric MRI Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System score of ≥4).

Methods: Eighty-seven selected biopsy-naive patients were randomized into two groups: TB (=41) and systematic biopsy (control; =46). Patients diagnosed with clinically significant prostate cancer proceeded to radical prostatectomy.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the efficacy and safety of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) radiolabeled with copper-64 (Cu) using the bifunctional chelating agents (BFCAs) NOTA (1,4,7-triazacyclononane-1,4,7-triacetic acid) and DOTA (1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid). As widely utilized BFCAs in the development of radiopharmaceuticals, NOTA and DOTA play a critical role in ensuring stable chelation with Cu. This study evaluates the stability, bioavailability, and therapeutic potential of these radiolabeled compounds in preclinical models and initial clinical trials.

CZMs, as distinct zeroth Landau levels (bulk modes) with high degeneracy, are responsible for intriguing phenomena like the chiral anomaly in quantum systems. The propagation direction of each CZM is determined by both the applied magnetic field and the topological charge of the singularity point.

Objective: Extant imaging methods used for the proper identification of the parathyroid glands to prevent post-operative hypothyroidism associated with the resection of differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) are limited by factors such as low specificity, high cost, and technical complexity. This study, therefore, sought to investigate the efficacy of the immunocolloidal gold strip method combined with nanocarbon negative imaging tracing technology for parathyroid gland imaging during radical resection of DTC in elderly patients.

Methods: A total of 100 elderly patients with DTC were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups: the control group and the observation group.

Purpose: Prostate-specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography (PSMA-PET) guided targeted biopsy has shown potential for detecting more prostate cancer (PCa) cases. However, relying exclusively on imaging may risk missing lesions, an issue that could be addressed by incorporating radiation-guided technology. We conduct a comprehensive theoretical analysis of wurtzite GaInN ternary alloys, focusing on their structural, electronic, elastic, piezoelectric, and dielectric properties through rigorous first-principles calculations. Our investigation systematically explores the influence of varying Ga composition ( = 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) on the alloy properties. Herein, a novel salt effect-induced strategy is proposed to engineer N and P coordinated atomically dispersed Fe atoms with extra-axial Cl on interlinked porous carbon nanosheets, achieving a superior single-atom Fe catalyst (denoted as Fe-NP-Cl-C) for ORR and Zn-air batteries. The hierarchical porous nanosheet architecture can provide rapid mass/electron transfer channels and facilitate the exposure of active sites.
