Using temperature modulation, two distinct hydrogen bond organic frameworks HOF-C and HOF-K with different pore sizes were synthesized from the same ligands, tris(4-(4-1,2,4-triazole-4-yl)phenyl)amine. The pore size difference prevents TRZ from entering HOF-K, while allowing TRZ to selectively insert into the larger-pored HOF-C to form HOF-C-TRZ. The donor-acceptor (D-A) structure formed in HOF-C-TRZ enhances its photoelectric response and exhibits exceptional uranium reduction under visible light irradiation.

  • Strategies to improve charge transfer efficiency in electrochemiluminescence (ECL) systems are crucial for advancing ECL technology.
  • The introduction of heteroatom-involved cocrystal engineering enables the construction of highly ordered cocrystal superstructures that enhance charge transfer performance.
  • These cocrystals allow for precise control of electron distribution and ECL emissions, offering new opportunities for detection, particularly of substances like UO that can inhibit charge transfer and quench the ECL signal.

Recently, the sortilin receptor (SORT1) was found to be preferentially over-expressed on the surface of many cancer cells, which makes SORT1 a novel anticancer target. The SORT1 binding proprietary peptide TH19P01 could achieve the SORT1-mediated cancer cell binding and subsequent internalization. Inspired by the peptide-drug conjugate (PDC) strategy, the TH19P01-camptothecin (CPT) conjugates were designed, efficiently synthesized, and evaluated for their anticancer potential in this study.

Background: Rate-pressure product (RPP) calculated by multiplying heart rate by systolic blood pressure, is a convenient indicator closely associated with cardiac work or myocardial oxygen consumption. It has been reported to relate strongly to important indices of cardiovascular risk in patients with myocardial ischemia. However, its relationship with short- and long-term mortality in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) undergoing primary PCI/immediate invasive strategy has not been defined.

Background And Purpose: Lung cancer surgery patients experience severe physical and mental symptoms, which seriously affect their quality of life and prognosis. Mindful breathing training is a promising strategy to improve their symptoms, but its effectiveness is affected by training compliance, and diary-based rehabilitation instruction has been shown to help improve training compliance. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of mindful breathing training combined with diary-based rehabilitation guidance on improving perioperative outcomes in lung cancer surgery patients.

Developing new electrochemiluminescence (ECL) luminators with high stability, wide applicability, and strong designability is of great strategic significance to promote the ECL field to the frontier. Here, driven by the I···N bond, 1,3,5-trifluoro-2,4,6-triiodobenzene (TFTI) and 2,4,6-trimethyl-1,3,5-triazine (TMT) self-assembled into a novel halogen cocrystal (TFTI-TMT) through slow solution volatilization. Significant difference of charge density existed between the N atoms on TMT and the σ-hole of the I atoms on TFTI.

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have been proposed for electrochemical energy storage, although the poor conductivity resulted from covalent bonds limits their practical performance. Here, we propose to introduce noncovalent bonds in COFs through a molecular insertion strategy for improving the conductivity of the COFs as supercapacitor. The synthesized COFs (MI-COFs) establish equilibriums between covalent bonds and noncovalent bonds, which construct a continuous charge transfer channel to enhance the conductivity.

Owing to the threats that Salmonella poses to public health and the abuse of antimicrobials, bacteriophage therapy against Salmonella is experiencing a resurgence. Although several phages have been reported as safe and efficient for controlling Salmonella, the genetic diversity and relatedness among Salmonella phages remain poorly understood. In this study, whole-genome sequences of 91 Salmonella bacteriophages were obtained from the National Center for Biological Information genome database.

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) show potentials in prominent photoelectric responses by judicious structural design. However, from the selections of monomers and condensation reactions to the synthesis procedures, the acquisition of photoelectric COFs has to meet overmuch high conditions, limiting the breakthrough and modulation in photoelectric responses. Herein, the study reports a creative "lock-key model" based on molecular insertion strategy.

The application of covalent organic frameworks (COFs) in electrochemiluminescence (ECL) is promising in environmental monitoring. Developing an emerging design strategy to expand the class of COF-based ECL luminophores is highly desirable. Here, a COF-based host-guest system was constructed through guest molecular assembly to deal with nuclear contamination analysis.

  • Neurodegenerative diseases (NDDs) involve the loss of neurons due to various causes, leading to dysfunctions that cause pain for patients and economic strain on society.
  • * The understanding of how NDDs develop is still incomplete, which makes it hard to develop effective treatments.
  • * Induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) modeling is a promising approach for drug discovery, specifically in studying early pathological mechanisms like mitochondrial dysfunction in diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor in women. A previous genome-wide association study reports that rs72755295, a SNP locating at intron of EXO1 (exonuclease 1), is associated with breast cancer. Due to the complete linkage disequilibrium between rs72755295 and rs4149909, a nonsynonymous mutation for EXO1, rs4149909 is supposed to be the causal SNP.

Lung cancer is a common cancer type, and has the highest mortality rate in the world. A genome‑wide association study suggests that the genetic marker rs9390123 is significantly associated with DNA repair capacity (DRC) in lung cancer. Analysis of the data derived from the 1000 Genomes Project indicated that there is another single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), rs9399451, in strong linkage disequilibrium with rs9390123 in Caucasian individuals, thus suggesting that this SNP could be associated with DRC.

Electrochemiluminescence (ECL), as an advanced sensing process, can selectively control the generation of excited states by changing the potential. However, most of the existing ECL systems rely on poisonous coreactants to provide radicals for luminescence; although the ECL efficiency was improved, the athematic coreactants will cause unpredictable interference to the accurate analysis of trace targets. Herein, we realized the ECL of nonemitting molecules by performing intramolecular electron transfer in the olefin-linked covalent organic frameworks (COFs), with a high efficiency of 63.
