Objective: To compare the effect of diaphragmatic breathing and volume incentive spirometry (VIS) on hemodynamics, pulmonary function, and blood gas in patients following open abdominal surgery under general anesthesia.
Methods: A total of 58 patients who received open abdominal surgery were randomly assigned to the control group (n=29) undergoing diaphragmatic breathing exercises and the VIS group (n=29) undergoing VIS exercises. All the participants performed the six-minute walk test (6MWT) preoperatively to evaluate their functional capacity.
Purpose: To evaluate the dynamics of early serum tumour markers (STMs) and the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) to predict clinical efficacy and prognosis of advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients who received programmed cell death-1 (PD-1)/programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitors.
Patients And Methods: We retrospectively reviewed patients with advanced NSCLC treated with PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors between September 2017 and August 2020. NLR and STMs were routinely measured between immunotherapy initiation and the first radiological evaluation.

Objective: To investigate the effectiveness, safety and possible mechanism of recombinate human interleukin 11 (rhIL-11) in the treatment of chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia.
Methods: Thirty-four patients (totally 76 cycles) with chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia received subcutaneous injection of rhIL-11 at the dose of 25 microg.kg(-1).
