Pseudomonas syringae deploys a type III secretion system (T3SS) to deliver effector proteins to facilitate infection of plant cells; however, little is known about the direct interactions between T3SS components and plants. Here, we show that the specialized lytic transglycosylase (SLT) domain of P. syringae pv.

Article Synopsis
  • - The HFPEF score helps diagnose heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) but its effectiveness in Chinese patients hadn't been fully studied until this research aimed to evaluate a modified version of the score.
  • - In a study of 497 Chinese HFpEF patients, the modified HFPEF score—using a body mass index (BMI) cutoff of 25 kg/m—predicted heart failure-related events and acute coronary syndrome (ACS) better than the original score based on a BMI of 30 kg/m.
  • - Findings showed that a higher modified HFPEF score correlated with an increased risk of cardiovascular events, with a cutoff score of 6.5 effectively signaling adverse health outcomes among the patients studied

Tea consumption is avoided by some due to concerns about its potential to cause anemia. To clarify this impact, we assessed the association between tea intake and anemia in a Chinese prospective cohort study and by Mendelian randomization (MR). We analyzed associations of tea intake with anemia using data from the baseline ( = 30 085) and three subsequent follow-ups (the first: = 17 898; the second: = 10 435; the third: = 5311) in the Guangzhou Biobank Cohort Study (GBCS).

Background: There is a dearth of feasibility assessments regarding using large language models (LLMs) for responding to inquiries from autistic patients within a Chinese-language context. Despite Chinese being one of the most widely spoken languages globally, the predominant research focus on applying these models in the medical field has been on English-speaking populations.

Objective: This study aims to assess the effectiveness of LLM chatbots, specifically ChatGPT-4 (OpenAI) and ERNIE Bot (version 2.

In this work, an effective competitive-type electrochemiluminescence (ECL) immunosensor was constructed for zearalenone determination by using Zr-MOF nanoplates as the ECL luminophore and Au@MoS nanoflowers as the substrate material. Zr-MOF have an ultra-thin sheet-like structure that accelerates the transfer of electrons, ions and co-reactant intermediates, which exhibited strong and stable anodic luminescence. The three-dimensional Au@MoS nanoflowers would form a thin film modification layer on the glassy carbon electrode (GCE).
