To avoid wear and tear of the slip ring due to electrical corrosion, the slip ring needs to undergo the running-in process under atmospheric conditions without current after assembly. To address the urgent demand for long-service capability space conductive slip rings in the aerospace field, the running-in behavior and failure mechanism between the AgCuNi alloy and Au-electroplated layer are investigated using a ball-on-disc tribometer in this paper. The results show that the transfer film composed of Au plays an important role in modifying the friction during the sliding process.

Purpose: To sort out the ideas and ways for nursing managers to identify problems in on-site supervision of nursing quality and to provide ideas and directions for being able to identify problems, identifying problems quickly, and identifying high-quality problems in the supervision.
Methods: A descriptive qualitative study was used to conduct face-to-face semi-structured interviews with 14 nursing managers from Bethune Hospital in Shanxi, China.
A novel dual-parameter optical fiber biosensor based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) for simultaneous measurement of urea and uric acid concentrations is proposed in this paper. Based on the principle of positive and negative electric combination, ZnO nanoparticles is selected as the matrix for immobilizing urease and uricase with selective recognition ability, which can also be used as a sensitizing material to increase the refractive index detection sensitivity of SPR by 22%. Then, Nafion ion exchange membrane was introduced to wrap the urea sensing area to avoid crosstalk caused by the overlap of adjacent sensing areas.

Hysteroscopic separation is the gold standard treatment for IUA and can be performed using a variety of instruments and methods, including cold scissors and electrotomy. However, it is unclear which method is more effective for relieving IUA, restoring uterine anatomy, and improving the pregnancy rate in women of childbearing age.

Our previous studies showed calcium (Ca) deficiency reduced ovarian weight and declined numbers of dominant follicles in an avian model. However, whether Ca provided a functional role in follicle development of aged avian, and its further mechanism was still unknown.

A novel fiber optic surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor is presented for detecting lead ions (Pb) with temperature compensation. The sensitivity of SPR channel to Pb is up to -41.

Here, density functional theory calculations are used to guide the fabrication of a carrier confinement domains (CCD)-decorated graphitic carbon nitride (CN) photocatalyst. The CCD integration effectively disrupts the electron distribution symmetry of CN, amplifies its local electron density, and facilitates the formation of a long-range ordered structure, thereby enhancing charge separation efficiency.

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have emerged as a leading photovoltaic technology due to their high efficiency and low cost. Even though they have developed rapidly since their inception, with efficiencies of over 26%, inverted PSCs face challenges such as nonradiative recombination and ion migration. Surface treatment, especially the utilization of organic compounds, has improved efficiency and stability by optimizing the perovskite-charge transport layer interface.

Since its re-emergence in 2004, CHIKV has continued to spread to new regions and become a severe health threat to global public. Development of safe and single dose vaccines that provide durable protection is desirable to control the spread of virus.

Before tumor cells metastasize to the lungs, they interact with immunosuppressive cells, alveolar epithelial cells, and lung fibroblasts to form a pre-metastatic niche. The pre-metastatic niche is a key factor leading to tumor cell metastasis to the lungs.

Riptortus pedestris (Hemiptera: Alydidae), a common agricultural pest, is the major causative agent of "soybean staygreen." However, the interactions between chemosensory proteins (CSPs) in R. pedestris and host plant volatiles have yet to be comprehensively studied.

Conventional control strategy against this pest mainly relies on the synthetic chemical pesticides, but widespread use of insecticides easily causes insecticide resistance development and is harmful to beneficial organisms and environment. In this context, a more environmentally friendly pest management strategy based on RNA interference (RNAi) has emerged as a powerful tool to control of insect pests.

More vaccines and antiviral drugs are imperative to be developed and stockpiled to respond to unpredictable outbreaks. Virus-like vesicles, generated by alphavirus replicons expressing homogeneous or heterogeneous glycoproteins (GPs), have demonstrated the capacity of self-propagation and shown great potential in vaccine development.

This study addressed the gap in comprehensive research on antibiotic contamination during different hydrological periods, focusing on the Jilin section of the Songliao Basin in Northeast China, an area with severe winter ice cover. The study examined the occurrence, distribution, influencing factors, and potential ecological risks of prevalent antibiotic contaminants.

In this study, we detected the high expression of SlitOBP34 in male antennae of Spodoptera litura. Subsequently, the fluorescence competitive binding experiments displayed that the SlitOBP34 protein has binding affinity for different ligands.

Among them, the Mayaro virus (MAYV) has drawn attention since its emergence as the etiologic agent of Mayaro fever, a highly debilitating disease. To study viral replication and identify new drug candidates, traditional antiviral assays based on viral antigens and/or plaque assays have been demonstrating low throughput, making it difficult to carry out larger-scale assays.
