In the present paper, a fluorescence method was used to study at different pH the fluorescence quenching of bovine serum albumin (BSA) by its interaction with balofloxacin (BLFX). The interaction association constants of BSA and BLFX were determined from a double reciprocal line Weaver-Burk plot. According to the Forster dipole-dipole energy transfer, the distance to be measured between the BLFX and tryptophane is 5.

A sequential procedure for the method of development of fingerprints based on a uniform design approach has been described in this paper. The sequential uniform design is used to reach the global optimum for a separation. The procedure is illustrated through developing the fingerprint of a Ginkgo biloba extract by capillary electrophoresis (CE) with diode array detection (DAD).

Aim: To design and synthesize new arylsubstituted imidazolin-2-one analogues as antitumor compounds.

Methods: Arylsubstituted imidazolin-2-ones were prepared by condensation the appropriate omega-amino-acetophenone hydrochloride with arylisocyanate in toluene. The target compounds prepared in this study were tested for cytotoxicity against PC-3, A549, HO-8910, Hela, HL60, K562 and HL60R cancer cell lines, and mechanism of one of the products 4y was further evaluated with its mechanium.

Objective: This study is to see the pathologic change of cardiac myocyte in Athlete's Heart, and explore the mechanism of the pathologic change.

Methods: Fifteen male SD rats were separated randomly into control group (without any exercise), aerobic exercise group (Ae group, swimming for 75 min every day), and overloading exercise group (Oe group, swimming for 180 min with a loading of 5 percent of body weight every day). After 5 days per week for 12 weeks, swimming stopped, the rat hearts were prepared to specimens and examined under Transmission Electron Microscope.

A simple, sensitive and selective liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (LC/ESI/MS) method for determination of limonin (LM) in rat plasma has been developed and validated. The method had advantages of a single liquid-liquid extraction with ether and high sensitivity. Analyses were conducted at a flow rate of 0.

The aim of the present research is to investigate the effects of vasonatrin peptide (VNP) on hypoxia-induced proliferation and collagen synthesis in pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMCs). Smooth muscle cells isolated from rat pulmonary artery were cultured and used at passages 3-5. Cell proliferation and collagen synthesis were evaluated by cell counts, [(3)H] thymidine and [(3)H] proline incorporation.

Objective: To see the change of capillary of heart in Athlete's Heart, so that to discover the mechanism of pathologic change.

Method: 18 male SD rats were separated randomly into control group (without any exercise), aerobic exercise group (swimming for 75 min every day), and overload group (swimming for 180 min with 5% weight of its body every day). After 5 days per week, 12 weeks, exercise training stopped and heart of rats were observed under Transmission Electron Microscope.

The ligand 2-(8'-quinolinyl)-1,10-phenanthroline (1) was prepared in 79% yield by the Friedlander condensation of 8-amino-7-quinolinecarbaldehyde and 8-acetylquinoline. The complex [Pt(1)Cl]+ was prepared and compared with the isomeric 2-(2'-quinolinyl)-1,10-phenanthroline (2) complex. An X-ray analysis indicated that the six-membered chelate ring in the tridentate complex resulted in a relief of angle strain as well as some non-planarity in the bound ligand 1.

Objective: To ascertain extraction technology condition for extract and flavonoids from Chrysanthum morifoliwn.

Method: The optimizing ultrasonic extraction condition on the basis of extractive yield and flavonoids were determined by orthogonal design.

Result: The order of factors which affected the flavonoid extraction was extraction times > ethanol concentration > ultrasonic time > solvent quantity.
