exhibits intrinsic resistance to most antibiotics, hence leading to infections that are difficult to treat. To address this issue, the identification of new molecular targets is essential for the development or repositioning of therapeutic agents. This study demonstrated that the -knockout strain, Mab, became significantly susceptible to a range of antibiotics, not only but also exhibited susceptibility to rifabutin, bedaquiline, and linezolid .

This study successfully synthesized two-dimensional (2D) TiCT MXene via selective etching of Al from the TiAlC MAX phase. By introducing MXene into a composite of hydroxylated CoFeO nanoparticles (-CFO NPs) and bacterial nanocellulose (BNC) to modulate the electromagnetic performance of the EWAMs.

Studies had reported an association between hematoma surface irregularity and hematoma expansion (HE). However, research on the correlation between the SRI and clinical outcomes in ICH patients following minimally invasive surgery (MIS) is limited.

The preoperative MRI assessment of rectal cancer is crucial for patient management, but the imaging quality is currently limited by a number of factors. DLR could be applied to the preoperative MRI assessment of primary rectal cancer, but research about its specific reliability is limited.

This study aimed to investigate the value of quantitative assessment of pulmonary blood flow redistribution in further classification.
Methods: Forty-six patients who underwent echocardiography and computed tomography pulmonary angiography at The First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University were included in this cross-sectional study, and all patients were categorized into a non-PH group (18 cases), a PAH group (12 cases), and a CTEPH group (16 cases).
Background: Little is known about the precise impaired patterns of white matter (WM) fiber tracts in preschool-aged children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Thus, we used diffusion tensor imaging (DTI)-based automated fiber quantification (AFQ) to explore the changes in WM fiber tracts in preschool-aged children with ASD and its correlation with the severity of clinical manifestations.
Methods: A total of 43 pediatric ASD and 42 age- and sex-matched typical developing children were examined with DTI.
Background: Preoperative ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy (CNB) is currently the standard procedure for managing breast illnesses. However, the differences in outcomes between CNB and surgical excision (SE) have not been thoroughly assessed. This study aimed to explore the disparities in pathological outcomes between these two procedures, using a large sample dataset.

Whether the use of SGLT2i is safe and effective in patients with the common hereditary CKD Alport syndrome (AS) has not yet been investigated specifically in larger cohorts.
Methods: This observational, multicenter, international study (NCT02378805) assessed 112 patients with AS after start of SGLT2i.

Objectives: The study aimed to evaluate differences in clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes of periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) attributed to rare versus common pathogens.
Methods: Data on PJI patients who underwent hip or knee arthroplasty at our center from April 2013 to December 2022 were retrospectively collected. Among the 219 enrolled patients, we compared 32 cases of PJI caused by rare pathogens with 187 controls of PJI caused by common pathogens, analyzing demographic information, clinical characteristics, and treatment outcomes.
Vascular malformations are common vascular lesions in infants and seriously affect their health and quality of life. Vascular sclerotherapy is an effective treatment for vascular malformations. However, current sclerosants have difficulty achieving both high efficiency and low toxicity, and their dosing forms make it difficult to achieve long-term retention in the affected blood vessels.

In this study, we aimed to create a nomogram to forecast the likelihood of in-hospital severe complications in AMI.
Methods: From August 2020 to January 2023, 1024 patients with AMI including the modeling group (n=717) and the validation group (n=307) admitted in Changsha Central Hospital's emergency department.
Aim: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and feasibility of superficial corneal opacities treated by excimer laser phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) combined with small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE)-derived corneal stromal lenticule transplantation.
Methods: A retrospective interventional case series of nine patients aged 12-59y with superficial corneal opacity caused by different pathologies who underwent standardized PTK combined with SMILE-derived corneal stromal lenticule transplantation was examined. Lenticule patches were fixed with fibrin glue.
Aim: To explore the connection between perfectionism and interpersonal sensitivity among nursing students and to examine the intermediary effects of coping style and subjective well-being within this association.
Methods: Utilizing a cross-sectional approach, this study assessed 682 nursing students at two Henan Province universities in China, employing the Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale, Interpersonal Sensitivity Questionnaire, Coping Style Scale, and Subjective Well-being Scale. The data were subjected to descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis with a macro process model.
Inhibiting the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway using immunomodulators has demonstrated promising outcomes in clinics. Immunomodulators can effectively target immune checkpoints with a strong preference for the tumor microenvironment (TME). Besides, immunomodulators specifically target the recently discovered inhibitory immune checkpoint, sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin (Siglec-15).

Holter monitoring is a crucial method for evaluating HRV, but the procedure and result analysis are relatively complex. This study aims to develop a simplified diagnostic index for predicting HRV decline in newly diagnosed non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients and evaluate its prognostic value.

Methods: Blood samples were collected during the Childhood Determinants of Adult Health (CDAH)-1 study (year: 2004-06) and 10-13 year follow-up at CDAH-3. Serum samples from baseline (n=156) and follow-up (n=167) were analyzed for three OA-related biomarkers [cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP), matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-3, and hyaluronan (HA)] using non-isotopic enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).

Methods: The clinical data of patients with septic shock admitted to Anhui Medical University Affiliated Fuyang Hospital from January 2018 to November 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were randomly divided into training set and validation set according to the ratio of 8 : 2.
Purpose: Inclusive education plays a crucial role in integrating students with special educational needs (SEN) into mainstream schools, where the attitudes of pre-service teachers are pivotal. Despite recognizing the significance of these attitudes, there is currently a gap in understanding the perspectives of students attending normal universities in China regarding inclusive education practices. This study aims to bridge this gap by creating the Chinese version of the Normal Universities Students' Attitudes Toward Inclusive Education Scale (NUSATIES) and examining its psychometric properties.

Methods: The most recent preoperative chest CT thin-slice scans and postoperative hematoxylin and eosin-stained pathology sections of patients diagnosed with stage I LUAD were retrospectively collected. Tumor segmentation was achieved using an automatic virtual adversarial training segmentation algorithm based on a three-dimensional U-shape convolutional neural network (3D U-Net).
Brucella is an intracellular parasitic pathogen that causes the worldwide zoonotic disease brucellosis. The type IV secretion system (T4SS) is utilized to secrete various effectors to help Brucella form Brucella-containing vacuoles within the cell and accomplish intracellular trafficking and replication. Brucella has fewer recognized effector proteins than other intracellular parasites in the Proteobacteria, indicating that Brucella may contain a large number of unidentified effector proteins.
