P91 steel and P91 steel joints experience performance degradation after serving for 30,000 h in working conditions. To clarify the damage and failure behavior and remaining life of the joints during subsequent service, further creep testing was conducted on the welded joints of P91 steel that had been in service for 30,000 h at three temperatures: 550 °C, 575 °C, and 600 °C. Wild yeast suitable for kiwifruit wine fermentation was isolated and purified, and the fermentation process was optimized to increase the alcohol content of the kiwifruit wine. was isolated from kiwifruit pulp by lineation separating, screened by morphological characteristics in Wallerstein Laboratory Nutrient Agar (WL) medium and microscope observation, and further identified by 26S rDNA D1/D2 domain sequence analysis. Taking alcohol content and sensory evaluation as two indexes, the fermentation condition for kiwifruit wine was optimized by single factor and response surface experiment.

Docking domains (DDs) located at the C- and N-termini of polypeptides play a crucial role in directing the assembly of polyketide synthases (PKSs), which are multienzyme complexes. Here, we determined the crystal structure of a complex comprising the C-terminal DD (DD) and N-terminal DD (DD) of macrolactin trans-acyltransferase (AT) PKS that were fused to a functional enzyme, AmpC EC2 β-lactamase. Interface analyses of the DD/DD complex revealed the molecular intricacies in the core section underpinning the precise DD assembly.

Multiple monochromatic x-ray imaging (MMI) is a technique for diagnosing the emission spectra of tracer elements in laser-driven inertial confinement fusion experiments. This study proposes an MMI method that combines a simple pinhole array with a laterally graded multilayer mirror. The method directly obtains multiple monochromatic x-ray images by regulating the multilayer thickness in different mirror positions to compensate for the energy-broadening effect.

To further understand the molecular mechanisms controlling the clonal evolution of MM, we applied single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to paired diagnostic and posttreatment bone marrow (BM) samples.

Piroxicam (PX) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) commonly associated with gastrointestinal (GI) injuries, including dyspepsia, heartburn, inflammation, bleeding, ulceration, and life-threatening perforation. The β-cyclodextrin (β-CD)-based PX formulation (PX@CD) has been shown to reduce gastric side effects by improving PX's solubility and dissolution rates. However, the solubility of PX can only be increased to a limited extent by β-CD, due to the low binding constant between PX and β-CD (∼100 M).

The tree shrew () is a promising emerging model organism in biomedical studies, notably due to their evolutionary proximity to primates. To enhance our understanding of how DNA methylation is implicated in regulation of gene expression and the X chromosome inactivation (XCI) in tree shrew brains, here we present their first genome-wide, single-base-resolution methylomes integrated with transcriptomes from prefrontal cortices. We discovered both divergent and conserved features of tree shrew DNA methylation compared to that of other mammals.

The MYB transcription factors (TFs) have substantial functions in anthocyanin synthesis as well as being widely associated with plant responses to various adversities. In the present investigation, we found an unreported MYB TF from (a wild relative of eggplant) and named it in reference to its homologous gene. Bioinformatics analysis demonstrated that the open reading frame of was 825 bp in length, encoding 275 amino acids, with a typical R2R3-MYB gene structure, and predicted subcellular localization in the nucleus.

Cold and ischemia/reperfusion (IR)-associated injuries are seemingly inevitable during liver transplantation and hepatectomy. Because Syrian hamsters demonstrate intrinsic tolerance to transplantation-like stimuli, cross-species comparative metabolomic analyses were conducted with hamster, rat, and donor liver samples to seek hepatic cold and IR-adaptive mechanisms. Lower hepatic phosphocholine contents were found in recipients with early graft-dysfunction and with virus-caused cirrhosis or high model for end-stage liver disease scores (≥30).

Background: The effect of oleogels prepared with peanut oil and different concentrations of γ-oryzanol and β-sitosterol mixture (γ/β; 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 g kg) on the physicochemical and gel properties of myofibrillar protein (MP) was investigated.

Results: The solubility and average particle size of MP first decreased and then increased with increasing γ/β concentration.
