Purpose To develop and evaluate the performance of NNFit, a self-supervised deep-learning method for quantification of high-resolution short echo-time (TE) echo-planar spectroscopic imaging (EPSI) datasets, with the goal of addressing the computational bottleneck of conventional spectral quantification methods in the clinical workflow. Materials and Methods This retrospective study included 89 short-TE whole-brain EPSI/GRAPPA scans from clinical trials for glioblastoma (Trial 1, May 2014-October 2018) and major-depressive-disorder (Trial 2, 2022- 2023). The training dataset included 685k spectra from 20 participants (60 scans) in Trial 1.

Materials And Methods: This multicenter retrospective study analyzed data from 181 patients with vertebrobasilar artery occlusion eligible for endovascular treatment from two Chinese stroke centers. We developed a predictive model for non-favorable clinical outcomes (modified Rankin Scale score >3) using the data of 125 patients from Stroke Center A (2019-2023).
Background & Aims: Body composition is an objective assessment reflecting nutritional status and is highly gender different. Surgical resection, the standard treatment for early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), is an energy-consuming major operation that would affect body composition. However, the impacts of body composition on the post-operative prognosis of HCC are still uncertain.

The suture-passing device is a standard tool for repairing the subscapularis tendon. However, it poses the risk of device breakage and may cause additional damage to the tendon.

Recent advances in the selective targeting of KRAS mutants via small molecule inhibitors and targeted protein degraders have generated an increase in research activity in this area in recent years. As such, there is a need for new assay platforms to profile next generation inhibitors which improve on the potency and selectivity of existing drug candidates, while evading the emergence of resistance.

Methods: Patients with GTN treated at a referral center from 1/2006 to 12/2022 were included. Clinical characteristics, World Health Organization risk score (low-risk 0-6, high-risk ≥7), and treatments/outcomes were evaluated using summary statistics, stratified by initial treatment at a referral center versus locally.
Purpose: To explore the potential of growth hormone-releasing peptide 2 (GHRP-2) for tendon-bone healing in a rat rotator cuff tear (RCT) model.
Methods: The impact of GHRP-2 on M1 macrophage polarization in vitro was determined using real-time polymerase chain reaction, Western blot, and immunofluorescence staining. GHRP-2 was then applied in a rat RCT model, and the healing of the tendon-bone interface was systemically evaluated by histologic staining, radiologic assessments, gait analysis, and biomechanical tests.

Purpose To evaluate the performance of a high-dynamic-range quantitative susceptibility mapping (HDR-QSM) cardiac MRI technique to detect intramyocardial hemorrhage (IMH) and quantify iron content using phantom and canine models. Materials and Methods A free-running whole-heart HDR-QSM technique for IMH assessment was developed and evaluated in calibrated iron phantoms and 14 IMH female canine models. IMH detection and iron content quantification performance of this technique was compared with the conventional iron imaging approaches, R2*(1/T2*) maps, using measurements from ex vivo imaging as the reference standard.

This study was to characterize the effect of time to treatment on benefit of EVT vs medical management (MM) among patients with large ischemic stroke.
Methods: This was a post hoc analysis of the Endovascular Therapy in Acute Anterior Circulation Large Vessel Occlusive Patients with a Large Infarct Core randomized trial.
High-internal-phase water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions generated in situ have garnered considerable attention as novel profile control systems. However, conventional emulsifiers are unreactive and poorly dispersed in water, necessitating large dosages and resulting in poor injectivity. In this study, we synthesized amphiphilic nanoparticles (SiO-NH-DAC NPs) containing amine and long-chain alkyl groups using a one-pot method and investigated the stabilized emulsion properties.

This study aims to develop, validate, and compare various prenatal PAS prediction models integrating clinical data, MRI signs, and radiomics signatures.
Materials And Methods: A cohort comprising 111 patients (72 with PAS and 39 without, denoted as N-PAS) served as the training set, while another 47 patients (33 PAS and 14 N-PAS) constituted the validation set.
Background: Gallbladder cancer (GBC) was once considered a contraindication for laparoscopic surgery, but it is becoming more common to use laparoscopic surgery for GBC treatment. The aim of this study was to analyze the long- and short-term outcomes of patients with more advanced T-staged GBC treated with curative intent as defined by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) after laparoscopic resection (LR) versus open resection (OR).
Methods: A multicenter database was used to select consecutive GBC patients treated with curative-intent resection as defined by the NCCN between 2016 and 2020.
Alpha oscillations are associated with various psychiatric disorders, with many studies focusing on the prefrontal cortex, where transcranial alternating current stimulation (TACS) is applied in the alpha frequency band. This approach often involves selecting individualized alpha frequencies to resonate with their endogenous alpha oscillations. While strong alpha oscillations (8-13 Hz) are typically induced when the eyes are closed, they can also occur during the resting state with eyes open.

However, fibrosis degree is not the sole determinant of LS, necessitating the identification of relevant confounders. One often-overlooked factor is body posture, and it remains unclear whether normal daily postures interfere with LS irrespective of fibrosis.

This study evaluates and compares the performance of clinicoradiologic, traditional radiomics, deep-learning radiomics, feature fusion, and decision fusion models based on multi-region MR habitat imaging using six machine-learning classifiers.
Materials And Methods: We retrospectively included 300 HCC patients.
: The aim of this study was to prepare monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) that broadly target and protect against infection by multi-drug-resistant (MDR) from different sources. : mAb 8E6 and mAb 1B5 were prepared by sequentially immunizing mice with a sublethal inoculation of three heterogeneous serotypes of pan-drug-resistant (PDR) , ST-208, ST-195, and ST-229. : The cross-recognition of heterogeneous bacteria (n = 13) by two mAbs and potential targets was verified, and the in vitro antibacterial efficacy of mAbs was assessed.

Early-stage gastric cancer can often be effectively managed through surgical resection. However, the majority of cases are diagnosed in advanced stages, where outcomes with conventional radiotherapy and chemotherapy remain unsatisfactory.
