The clinically approved dose of nivolumab is 240 mg every 2 weeks. However, previous studies have shown that baseline nivolumab clearance (CL) is associated with treatment outcomes in patients with solid cancers, thus motivating researchers to identify prognostic factors and indices influencing nivolumab CL. This study used chronic kidney disease model rats to investigate whether chronic renal impairment affected nivolumab CL and explored the surrogate markers associated with nivolumab CL.

G protein-coupled receptor kinase 2 (GRK2) participates together with β-arrestins in the regulation of G protein-coupled receptor signaling, but emerging evidence suggests that GRK2 can interact with a growing number of proteins involved in signaling mediated by other membrane receptor families under various pathologic conditions. We tested the hypothesis that GRK2 may be an important contributor to vascular endothelial dysfunction in diabetes. Human umbilical venous endothelial cells (HUVECs) were exposed to high glucose and high insulin (HG/HI) to mimic insulin-resistant diabetic conditions.

Objective: To investigate the clinical, genetic, and neuroradiologic presentations of idiopathic basal ganglia calcification (IBGC) in a nationwide study in Japan.

Methods: We documented clinical and neuroimaging data of a total of 69 subjects including 23 subjects from 10 families and 46 subjects in sporadic cases of IBGC in Japan. Mutational analysis of SLC20A2 was performed.
