A new hydrindane derivative, asperhydrindane A (), along with two known sterol analogues [isocyathisterol () and ganodermasides D ()] were isolated from the mangrove-derived fungus GXIMD 03158 attaching to the mangrove L. The structure of was elucidated based on extensive spectral analysis, HRESIMS, and calculated ECD methods. All compounds were evaluated for antibacterial activity.

Recent research highlights how its feeding behavior stimulates the production of desirable secondary metabolites, thereby improving the flavor profiles and market value of premium teas, particularly varieties like Taiwan's "Oriental Beauty". As consumer demand for unique and artisanal teas rises, the economic benefits associated with are becoming increasingly evident, prompting farmers to adopt sustainable agricultural practices that often involve reduced pesticide use.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFAbalone is an economically important mollusk, whose slow growth has impeded the recovery of its wild populations and development of aquaculture. The three-way cross hybrid abalone ((♀ × ♂)♀ × ♂, DF × SS) demonstrated notable diversity in growth traits across the population with genetic differentiation, offering a model for exploring the molecular mechanisms of abalone growth. In this study, a total of 89 SNPs and 97 candidate genes were identified to be associated with growth-related traits of abalone using whole-genome resequencing and a genome-wide association study (GWAS) analysis.

Its utility in submandibular gland lesions remains unclear. Our article aims to study (1) the utility of the MSRSGC in classifying FNAC of submandibular gland masses, (2) describe the demographics and incidence of submandibular gland malignancy in our population, and (3) analyze the accuracy of FNAC in diagnosis of benign and malignant submandibular gland tumors.
