Esophageal carcinoma is a highly prevalent malignancy worldwide. The present study aimed to investigate the mechanism by which the natural compound coptisine affects pyroptosis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). The expression of c-Met in ESCC patients was assessed by immunohistochemical analysis of tissue microarrays.

Purpose: Dry eye disease (DED) is a common ocular surface inflammatory disease with a complex pathogenesis. Herein, the role and effect of gasdermin E (GSDME) in DED pathogenesis were explored.
Methods: In vitro, flow cytometry, Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release assays were used to determine the effects of hyperosmotic stress on pyroptosis, apoptosis, and cell viability in human corneal epithelial cells (HCECs).
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the malignant tumors globally, with high morbidity and mortality rates. The mainstay treatment of CRC includes surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. However, these treatments are associated with a high recurrence rate, poor prognosis, and highly toxic side effects.

This article presents a case of OKC complicated with ectopic teeth occurring in the maxillary sinus. This article collects a case of a 19-year-old female patient with an ectopic tooth in the maxillary sinus associated with an OKC.

Unlike conventional approaches to energy storage capacitors, which primarily focus on compositional or structural modifications, this study explored the influence of the layer sequence and periodicity. The interface between the NSTO substrate and the BCZT-OD layer forms a Schottky barrier, resulting in electric field redistribution across the sublayers of the BCZT/BCZT-OD//(1P) thin film.
