Long-term efficacy of vestibular neurotomy in disabling Ménière's disease and Tumarkin drop attacks.

Objective: When Ménière's disease (MD) becomes disabling due to the frequency of attacks or the appearance of drop attacks (i.e., Tumarkin otolithic crisis) despite "conservative" medical and surgical treatments, a radical treatment like vestibular neurotomy (VN) is possible.

[Free latissimus dorsi flap lacing and local care in two-stage scalp reconstruction].

Surgical treatment of large and multiple lesions of irradiated scalp may require subtotal scalp exeresis and reconstruction in two-stage free flap surgery: harvesting and placing the flap first, then scalp removing and defect covering in a second step. This strategy raises the question of how to care the flap between the two surgeries. We report an original technique of free latissimus dorsi flap lacing.

[The tumors of the ear].

Any cutaneous lesion of the outer ear must be managed jointly by a dermatologist and an ENT, regardless of the age of the patient. The presence of a malignant cutaneous carcinoma (Squamous cell carcinoma or melanoma) of the pavilion requires a minimum extension assessment by a cervical ultrasound, CT-scan and MRI will be prescribed according to the degree of infiltration and the presence of clinics signs (lymphadenopathy, facial paralysis, cognitive impairment). A polyp of the external auditory meatus must be systematically biopsied in consultation and, if necessary, in the operating room with fresh anatomopathological analysis.
