: Tedizolid (TZD), an oxazolidinone, causes fewer adverse events than linezolid (LZD). However, studies on the long-term efficacy and safety of TZD, particularly in patients with hematological malignancies (HMs), remain limited. This study aimed to evaluate the safety of long-term TZD use in Japanese patients, including those with HM.

The seasonality and epidemiology of viral acute respiratory infections (ARIs) have changed since the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. However, molecular-based ARI surveillance has not been conducted in Japan. We developed a regional surveillance program to define the local epidemiology of ARIs.

Patients And Methods: Histopathological findings of RC specimens collected from 2003 to 2020 were evaluated. Recurrence-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) after RC, as well as the efficacy of chemotherapy in cases of recurrence, were retrospectively assessed.

Background: Accurate data on the prognosis of bone metastases are necessary for appropriate treatment. Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) are widely used in the treatment of gene mutation-negative non-small cell lung cancer (GMN-NSCLC).

Avian haemosporidian parasites and avian pox virus (APV) are well-known pathogens for their impact on avian populations, especially in oceanic islands where introduced pathogens show strong virulence for endemic and naïve birds. The Bonin Islands are a group of oceanic islands 1000 km south of Tokyo. Like the Hawaiian Islands, there are many endemic and endangered species as well as introduced species, which have greatly affected the native avian fauna.
