Irreversible electroporation (IRE) is a minimally invasive, non-thermal tumor ablation technique that induces nanoscale membrane perforation, leading to immunogenic cell death (ICD). However, IRE alone is limited by uneven electric field attenuation, incomplete tumor ablation, and the immunosuppressive nature of the tumor microenvironment. To address these challenges, a multifunctional nanomaterial, vermiculite nanosheets/calcium peroxide nanosheets (VMT/CaO NSs), is developed to enhance the efficacy of IRE.

Microplastics (MPs) inevitably undergo aging processes in natural environments; however, how aging behaviors influence the interactions between MPs exposures and nitrate bioreduction in freshwater sediments remains poorly understood. Here, we explored the distinct impacts of virgin and aged MPs (polystyrene (PS) and polylactic acid (PLA)) on nitrate bioreduction processes in lake sediments through a long-term microcosm experiment utilizing the N isotope tracing technique and molecular analysis. Compared to virgin MPs, aged PLA significantly increased the rates of denitrification, anaerobic ammonium oxidation (anammox), and dissimilatory nitrate reduction to ammonium (DNRA) (p < 0.

This study identifies independent predictive indicators to distinguish autoimmune gastritis from ()-induced atrophic gastritis and validates their diagnostic performance to compare laboratory indicators of autoimmune gastritis and -induced atrophic gastritis. A retrospective comparison of laboratory examination indicators was conducted for chronic atrophic gastritis patients with involvement of the gastric fundus and corpus, who were followed up at the Department of Gastroenterology, Xijing Hospital, from January 2014 to September 2024. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were utilized to determine the optimal cutoff points and corresponding diagnostic thresholds.

Neuroinflammation is a critical factor in the progression of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury (CIRI). Pyroptosis, which is an inflammatory form of programmed cell death, greatly amplifies neuroinflammatory processes. It does so by promoting the release of various inflammatory contents that intensify the overall inflammatory response within the central nervous system.

Background: This network meta-analysis (NMA) aimed to explore the impact of Non-pharmacological therapies (NPT) on alleviating primary dysmenorrhea (PD) symptoms and assess the effectiveness differences among various NPT.

Methods: We searched seven databases and summarized clinical trials of PD treated with NPT from inception to September 6, 2023. Randomized controlled clinical trials (RCTs) of PD treated with NPT.
