Achieving sensors that can sensitively and selectively quantify levels of analytes in complex biofluids such as blood remains a significant challenge. To address this, we synthesized an array of isolated carbon nanochannels on a flat gold electrode that function as molecular sieves to prevent protein fouling and eliminate the need for antifouling layers. Utilizing a two-step pulsed technique, a reductive pulse expels negative interferences and fouling molecules followed by an oxidative pulse that oxidizes glucose at the bottom of the channel and on the gold surface.

By extruding a single heteroatom from a ring, this transformation builds desirable C(sp)-C(sp) bonds in the ring contracted products; however, the origins of enantioselectivity remain poorly understood. In this work, enantioselectivity of the ring contraction has been explored across an expanded structurally diverse substrate scope, revealing a wide range of enantioselectivities (0-99%) using two distinct CPA catalysts.

We studied 264 patients aged ≥40 and 154 patients aged ≤20 years who underwent ACL reconstruction at several surgical centers. A logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify factors that influenced the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) at 1 year post-ACL reconstruction.

Herein, we describe the stereodivergent synthesis of oligopyrrolidines, which are conformationally constrained polyamines. We synthesized dimeric and trimeric 2-oxo-oligopyrrolidines using an iterative coupling strategy.

: Unrestricted kinematic alignment total knee arthroplasty (KA-TKA) with a soft-tissue respecting technique (STRT) is a soft-tissue-dependent tibial resection entailing the restoration of the original soft-tissue tension using ligamentotaxis after resurfacing the femur, based on the concept of restoring the native or pre-osteoarthritis alignment in each patient. However, there is no consensus on the indications of unrestricted KA-TKA with the STRT. We modified the STRT, followed by an investigation of the effects of surgery on the postoperative hip-knee-ankle angle (HKAA).
