Clinical Validation of Deep Learning for Segmentation of Multiple Dental Features in Periapical Radiographs.

Periapical radiographs are routinely used in dental practice for diagnosis and treatment planning purposes. However, they often suffer from artifacts, distortions, and superimpositions, which can lead to potential misinterpretations. Thus, an automated detection system is required to overcome these challenges.

Automatic feature segmentation in dental panoramic radiographs.

Objective: The purpose of the present study was to verify the diagnostic performance of an AI system for the automatic detection of teeth, caries, implants, restorations, and fixed prosthesis on panoramic radiography.

Methods: This is a cross-sectional study. A dataset comprising 1000 panoramic radiographs collected from 500 adult patients was analyzed by an AI system and compared with annotations provided by two oral and maxillofacial radiologists.

Newer Classification System for Fissured Tongue: An Epidemiological Approach.

Introduction. Fissured tongue is a commonly encountered tongue disorder in dental practice. But there is a lack of data on different pattern, severity, and association of fissuring with various systemic disorders and other tongue anomalies.

Analysis of blood and salivary urea levels in patients undergoing haemodialysis and kidney transplant.

Aims And Objectives: To determine correlation between the Salivary Urea levels with that of Blood Urea levels.

Materials And Methods: Subjects were selected from patients undergoing haemodialysis and patients who had underwent kidney transplantation at Ashwini Hospitals Guntur. The study comprised of 45 patients, of which Haemodialysis group (HD) with 20 patients, Transplant (T) group with 15 patients and 10 patients in control group.

Objectives: This study was conducted to analyze and identify differences in the palatal rugae patterns and to identify gender wise changes in the palatal rugae shapes in populations of five different states of India.

Study Design: Study was conducted in five different Indian states. 500 sample subjects from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra were included.
