Background And Objective: Transesophageal endosonography, including endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) and endoscopic ultrasound with bronchoscope-guided fine-needle aspiration (EUS-B-FNA), has been applied to the diagnosis of benign as well as malignant diseases. This narrative review summarizes the recent use of EUS-(B)-FNA in diagnosing sarcoidosis.

Methods: A comprehensive and systematic online literature search of PubMed was conducted using the keywords ("sarcoidosis"), and ("EUS" OR "EUS-FNA" OR "EUS-B" OR "EUS-B-FNA" OR "endoscopic ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration" OR "endoscopic ultrasound using the EBUS scope guided fine needle aspiration" OR "endoscopic ultrasound using the EBUS bronchoscope" OR "transesophageal" OR "transesophageal endoscopic ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration" OR "transesophageal bronchoscopic ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration").

Introduction: Lateral temporal neural measures (Na and T-complex Ta and Tb) of the auditory evoked potential (AEP) index auditory/speech processing and have been observed in children and adults. While Na is already present in children under 4 years of age, Ta emerges from 4 years of age, and Tb appears even later. The T-complex has been found to be sensitive to language experience in Spanish-English and Turkish-German children and adults.

Muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) is a common form of BC in dogs. Adjuvant chemotherapy administration is commonly applied in MIBC cases, but patients sometimes experience treatment failure and recurrence. Therefore, supplements with anticancer properties, such as traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs), are required, and they have been widely used in Japanese human medicine and may be useful in veterinary medicine.

Background: A geographical analysis could be employed to uncover social risk factors and interventions linked to chronic pain. Nonetheless, geographical variation in chronic pain across different regions of Japan have not been well explored. This study aims to investigate geographical variation in high-impact chronic pain (HICP), defined as moderate to severe chronic pain, and examine the associated psychological factors at the prefecture level.

Myelin formation by oligodendrocytes regulates the conduction velocity and functional integrity of neuronal axons. While individual oligodendrocytes form myelin sheaths around multiple axons and control the functions of neural circuits where the axons are involved, it remains unclear if oligodendrocytes selectively form myelin sheaths around specific subtypes of axons. Using the combination of rabies virus-mediated single oligodendrocyte labeling and immunostaining with tissue clearing, we revealed that approximately half of the oligodendrocytes preferentially myelinate axons originating from Purkinje cells in the white matter of adult mouse cerebella.
