Unusual presentation of Sjogren's syndrome during pregnancy: a case report.

Background: Pregnancy imposes significant physiological changes, including alterations in electrolyte balance and renal function. This is especially important because certain disorders might worsen and make people more susceptible to electrolyte abnormalities. One such condition is Sjogren's syndrome (SS), an autoimmune disease that can cause distal renal tubular acidosis (dRTA).

Efficacy and safety of mirabegron for the treatment of neurogenic detrusor overactivity resulting from traumatic spinal cord injury: A prospective study.

Objective: To assess the clinical, urodynamic efficacy, and safety of mirabegron in patients with neurogenic detrusor overactivity (NDO) consequent to traumatic spinal cord injury (SCI).

Methods: This prospective cohort study was performed between January 2018 and July 2019 and included adult patients with stable traumatic suprasacral SCI, performing clean intermittent catheterization (CIC), and demonstrating NDO on urodynamic study (UDS). A 3-day bladder diary was made at the baseline after which all patients were started on Mirabegron 50 mg.

An unusual case of endocarditis of native aortic valve following ECMO.

Fungal endocarditis following Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is rare and very rarely reported. Though rare it has a high mortality rate. A 49-year-old male patient who had venovenous ECMO presented with aortic valve endocarditis after 40 days.

Comparative Study of Surgical Management of Fracture Neck of Femur with Cemented Versus Uncemented Bipolar Hemiarthroplasty.

Introduction: There is evidence for use of cemented hemiarthroplasty resulting in greater anchoring and lesser peri prosthetic fracture. However, this procedure results in more haemodynamic instability and cardiopulmonary complications termed as 'cement reaction' or bone cement implantation syndrome. There has been a heightened interest among surgeons to compare cemented and uncemented hemiarthroplasty for fracture neck of femur.
