Introduction: Donation after circulatory death (DCD) allografts are underutilized in liver transplantation (LT) due to increased risk of complications. These risks stem from ischemic injury sustained during the total donor warm ischemia time (tDWIT), historically limited to 30 min. Normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) can mitigate these risks and facilitate LT of DCD grafts with extended tDWIT.

The slight acidic pH changes during food storage and transportation are often difficult to detect in a timely and accurate manner. There is also an urgent need to establish a portable, accurate, and low interference detection method for real-time monitoring of the quality changes of fresh juice that already has its own color. In this paper, a self-ratiometric fluorescent sensor (DCCA/SA bead) was prepared by combining a modified coumarin and sodium alginate (SA), and was used for the extreme pH monitoring of fluorescent by naked eye colorimetry.

This study was aimed at enhancing the stability of the medium internal phase emulsion by modulating the electrostatic interaction between fucoidan (FUC) and sodium caseinate (NaCS). Firstly, the macro and microstructure of FUC-NaCS electrostatic complexes with the mass ratio of ranged from 0.01: 2 to 4: 2 were examined at pH 3.

Ferns, known for their adaptability and widespread presence, form a diverse group of plants. However, the mechanisms underlying terpenoid production, which are often linked to plant adaptation, are not well understood in ferns. Here, we report that Dryopteris fragrans (D.

As two representative pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PCPPs), carbamazepine (CBZ) and triclosan (TCS) are frequently detected in aquatic ecosystems worldwide, but their toxicological interactions remain unclear. This work evaluated the combined toxicity of CBZ and TCS to zebrafish (Danio rerio) in terms of acute mortality, biochemical response, and histopathology. The results showed that the 96-h acute toxicity interaction of CBZ and TCS fitted well to the concentration addition (CA) model, suggesting an additive effect.
