Mortality and Survival Analysis in Patients With Cancer Occurrence After Sjögren's Syndrome: A Long-Term Cohort Study in China.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the mortality, survival rates, and prognostic indicators of cancer occurrence after Sjögren's syndrome (SS-CA).

Methods: The medical records of patients with SS-CA at the Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) between January 2010 and August 2022 were retrieved. Clinical data and survival outcomes were compared to controls.

Pulmonary artery denervation by noninvasive stereotactic radiotherapy: a pilot study in swine models of pulmonary hypertension.

Catheter-based pulmonary artery denervation (PADN) has achieved promising outcomes to treat pulmonary hypertension (PH). We herein present stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) as a novel noninvasive approach for PADN. A single fraction of 15 Gy, 20 Gy or 25 Gy was delivered for PADN in a thromboxane A2 (TxA2) - induced acute PH swine model.

Artificial metalloenzyme assembly in cellular compartments for enhanced catalysis.

Artificial metalloenzymes (ArMs) integrated within whole cells have emerged as promising catalysts; however, their sensitivity to metal centers remains a systematic challenge, resulting in diminished activity and turnover. Here we address this issue by inducing in cellulo liquid-liquid phase separation through a self-labeling fusion protein, HaloTag-SNAPTag. This strategy creates membraneless, isolated liquid condensates within Escherichia coli as protective compartments for the assembly of ArMs using the same fusion protein.

Parental Acceptance of Human Papillomavirus Vaccination Among Females Treated for Childhood Cancer and/or With Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Background: Survivors of childhood cancer (CCS) and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) recipients are at increased risk of human papillomavirus (HPV)-associated malignancies. Although HPV vaccination is recommended for these groups, parental acceptance remains uncertain.
