Study of chemobiological reactions. 1. Selectivity of aromatic amino compounds and saccharides in glycosylation reactions.

The reactivities between saccharides and primary amino compounds were studied by liquid chromatography on an amino-bonded column and by measurement of the reaction rates of aromatic amines with saccharides. The recoveries from the column and the reaction rates were correlated with their physicochemical properties calculated by the CAChe program. The reactivities between amines and saccharides correlated well with their hydrogen bonding energies calculated by molecular mechanics.

Sarcoma associated with pregnancy.

A case is reported of sarcoma associated with pregnancy in which the patient underwent a cesarean section with myomectomy and was delivered of a living infant. A pathologic examination indicated sarcoma.

A case report of destructive mole after uterine rupture.

We describe a patient 17 weeks pregnant whose complaints were diagnosed as acute abdomen. The patient underwent a total abdominal hysterectomy and uterine rupture was found with, surprisingly, a live fetus. Pathologic examination indicated destructive mole.

[Studies on the immunohistochemical localization of coagulation fibrinolysis factors in the placenta, especially of placental plasminogen activator (PPA)].

We succeeded for the first time in extracting and purifying a coagulation fibrinolysis factor in the placenta, that is, a placental plasminogen activator (PPA). Using the enzyme-labeled antibody technique (indirect method), we investigated the localization of PPA, fibrinogen (FBG) and fibronectin (FN) in the placenta. And we tried to elucidate the physiological significance of the above three.
