[Renal Artery Stenting for Spontaneous Renal Artery Dissection with Renal Infarction].

Spontaneous renal artery dissection (SRAD) is extremely rare and the management procedures have not been established. We report a case of endovascular stent placement for SRAD with renal infarction. A 53-year-old man visited a hospital with the complaint of lumbago.

[Purpose] The aim of the study was to investigate the changes in baseball pitching velocity, the functional reach test (FR) and the simple reaction times (SRT) in young amateur baseball players after lumbar spine patterns of neuromuscular joint facilitation (NJF) treatment. [Subjects] The subjects were 11 young amateur baseball players. An NJF intervention and a proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) intervention were performed.

Background: The strain imaging diastolic index (SI-DI) was reported to be a sensitive marker of regional left ventricular (LV) delayed relaxation induced by ischemia. However, the clinical usefulness of the global SI-DI has not been evaluated. N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) is a sensitive biomarker for the detection of asymptomatic diastolic LV dysfunction.

Global longitudinal strain in relation to the severity of aortic stenosis: a two-dimensional speckle-tracking study.

Background: Global longitudinal strain (GLS) measured by two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging (2D-STI) has been shown to be useful for assessing subtle change in left ventricular function in severe aortic stenosis (AS) patients with preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). However, there is little information about the relation between the progression of AS and changes in GLS. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relation between the severity of valve stenosis and GLS measured by 2D-STI in AS patients with normal LVEF.

Fluorescent bioprobes for visualization of puromycin-sensitive aminopeptidase in living cells.

Non-peptide, small-molecular, non-competitive inhibitors of puromycin-sensitive aminopeptidase (PSA), that is, 3-(2,6-diethylphenyl)-2,4(1H,3H)-quinazolinedione (PAQ-22, 3) and its 1N-methyl analogue (MPAQ-22 4), were structurally modified to afford fluorescent bioprobes, ANTAQ (5) and DAMPAQ-22 (6). The cellular localization of PSA could be visualized by the use of these fluorescent bioprobes.
