Purpose: It remains unclear if fluid pressures used during cataract surgeries contribute to iatrogenic corneal endothelial cell (CEC) loss.
Methods: A custom experimental platform was used to pressurize the anterior chamber of explanted porcine eyes to surgical fluid pressures of 60 mm Hg or 400 mm Hg for 5 minutes or 60 mm Hg for 45 minutes (n = 8 or 9 per group). The corneal endothelia were stained with a unique combination of nucleic acid viability dyes and were imaged using fluorescence microscopy without removing the cornea from the globe.
Objectives: Early differentiation between causes of secondary postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) can sometimes be difficult and can cause serious complications if diagnosis and treatment are delayed. The study aimed to assess the efficacy of different imaging diagnostic criteria, which would help in differentiating between gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN) from indeterminate benign causes; thus, aiding in making clinical decisions in a timely fashion.
Methods: A comparative prospective study, were 33 patients complaining of 2ry PPH, with indeterminate diagnosis referred to the Radiology department female imaging unit between October 2020 and November 2022 for further assessment.
Introduction: This systematic review explores the use of neurophysiological measurements to study emotional responses to cosmetic products. The aim is to evaluate existing literature on these measurements in cosmetics, identify the main findings, highlight methodological challenges, and propose new guidelines for future research.
Method: A systematic search focusing on neurophysiological measures to determine emotions induced by different cosmetic products was carried out in accordance with PRISMA guidelines.
The widespread use of reinforced concrete continues to face challenges, particularly in mitigating alkali-silica reaction (ASR), due to its detrimental effects on concrete strength and durability. This paper investigates the effectiveness of using binary supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) in mitigating ASR by incorporating metakaolin (MK) and waste glass powder (GP) as partial replacements for cement. Additionally, the potential of a new cement product, "NewCem Plus" (NCM), along with the use of basalt fibers and lithium, was evaluated through a 14-day accelerated mortar bar test following the ASTM C1260.

HRCA has shown tremendous promise and accuracy in identifying and predicting swallowing physiology and biomechanics with accuracies equivalent to trained human judges. These insights have historically been available only through instrumental swallowing evaluation methods, such as videofluoroscopy and endoscopy.
