Prolonged Taping with Exercise Therapy for Patellofemoral Pain in Adults: A Systematic Review and Single-Arm Meta-Analysis.

: To investigate the effects of prolonged taping on patellofemoral pain (PFP). : A literature search of PubMed, EMBASE (Elsevier), CiNAHL, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Scopus, and Web of Science was conducted from database inception to 28 June 2024. Eligible studies reported PFP patients over 18 years of age undergoing an exercise protocol with additional taping that was maintained outside of exercise sessions (PROSPERO ID: CRD42023422792).

Outcome in TFCC repair using micro anchor and trans‑osseous technique.

The triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) is an intrinsic stabiliser of the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ), which serves an important role in wrist movement, forearm rotation and grip strength. A stable DRUJ is a key requirement for pain-free movement of the wrist. TFCC tears are a common ulnar-sided wrist pain associated with decreased grip strength and impaired function.

A review of scaphoid fracture, treatment outcomes, and consequences.

Purpose: Scaphoid fractures are the most common carpal fracture and can lead to severe complications like carpal collapse and osteoarthritis. This study reviewed scaphoid fracture patterns, outcomes, and consequences in conservative and surgical management.

Methods: Sixty-four patients with scaphoid fracture who attended the hand clinic at King Hussein Medical City from January 2022 to December 2022 were included and reviewed regarding the anatomical fracture site, the associated injury, the treatment modality (conservative versus surgical), the healing time, and fracture sequelae such as nonunion and scaphoid nonunion advanced collapse.

Tumor response to radiotherapy and expression of epidermal growth factor receptor mutation and echinoderm microtubule-associated protein-like 4-anaplastic lymphoma kinase rearrangement in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

Background: One of the main limitations of radiation therapy is the resistance of tumor cells. This study aimed at evaluating the relationship between the expression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and echinoderm microtubule-associated protein-like 4-anaplastic lymphoma kinase (EML4-ALK) and tumor radiosensitivity in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

Methods: Medical case files, pathological results for EGFR and EML4-ALK, and computerized tomography scans of patients with NSCLC treated with thoracic radiation therapy were analyzed.

Arthroscopic transosseous versus suture anchor repair: clinical outcomes in patients with bilateral rotator cuff tears.

The aim of our study was to define if Arthroscopic Transosseous Rotator Cuff Techniques should have comparable results to those of the suture-anchors technique in a single row configuration. We reported the preliminary results of a consecutive population of 22 patients who underwent a rotator cuff treatment on the left and right sides for average medium-sized thickness tears with minimal fatty infiltration with the two different techniques: transosseous rotator cuff repair technique on one side and single row with suture-anchors on the other side, in different times. Subjective evaluation with DASH questionnaires, Constant Scores and Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) for pain evaluation, have been submitted pre and postoperatively after both operations.
