[Associated lipid pneumonia and bronchiolo-alveolar carcinoma].

The authors report a new case of bronchio-alveolar carcinoma which developed on a background of iatrogenic exogenous lipid pneumonia; this association is extremely rare (less than 20 cases in the literature) and poses the problem of possible cancer developing in the centre of the lipid pneumonia.

[Secondary bladder amyloidosis: a case of salvage cystectomy for massive hematuria].

Amyloidosis of the bladder associated with systemic amyloidosis secondary to rheumatoid arthritis is a rare disease. Due to the absence of routine screening, its incidence appears to be understimated and only 11 cases, all symptomatic, have been reported in the literature. The symptoms of this disease are dominated by macroscopic haematuria, always massive, which may be life-threatening.

[Localized cancer of the prostate. Correlation between MRI and anatomo-pathological results after radical prostatectomy].

Magnetic Resonance Imaging of 20 patients with local prostatic carcinoma was correlated with pathological findings after radical prostatectomy. The tumor was always seen with an hyposignal, associated in 6 cases with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Extracapsular extension was correctly evaluated (17 cases/20).

[Congenital microcoria: a case report with histopathological study].

The authors report a case in which congenital microcoria was associated with glaucoma; a complete histopathological study was performed and the relation between microcoria and glaucoma was considered. The association with extra-ocular abnormalities, particularly renal lesions is noticed.
