A Hz level narrow linewidth all-optical microwave oscillator based on the torsional radial acoustic modes (TR) of a single-mode fiber (SMF) is proposed and validated. The all-optical microwave oscillator consists of a 20 km SMF main ring cavity and a 5 km SMF sub ring cavity. The main ring cavity provides forward stimulated Brillouin scattering gain and utilizes a nonlinear polarization rotation effect to achieve TR mode locking.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: Serum levels of silent information regulator 6 (SIRT6), a key biomarker of aging, were identified as a predictor of coronary artery disease (CAD), but whether SIRT6 can distinguish severity of coronary artery lesions in older adult patients is unknown.
Objectives: This study developed a nomogram to demonstrate the functionality of SIRT6 in assessing severity of coronary artery atherosclerosis.
Methods: Patients aged 60 years and older with angina pectoris were screened for this single-center clinical study between October 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023.
Utilizing the correlation among diverse physical properties to facilitate multiplexing and multistate memory is anticipated to emerge as an efficient strategy to enhance memory capacity, achieve device miniaturization, and ensure information security. As an important functional material, ferroelectrics have long been considered as a potential candidate in multistate memory devices. Furthermore, the integration of optical response offers an alternative path to realizing multiplexing features, further enhancing the versatility and efficiency of these devices.

This study aims to summarize the correlation between the triglyceride-glucose-body mass index (TyG-BMI index), a novel surrogate indicator of insulin resistance, and the incidence of CVD in patients without CVD at baseline through meta-analysis.
Method: Cohort studies assessing multivariate-corrected hazard ratios (HRs) for associations between the TyG-BMI index and cardiovascular disease (CVD) were obtained by searching PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, and Web of Science.
