An 86-year-old male patient developed paresthesia in both hands, and six months later, pancytopenia was noted. He was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome following bone marrow aspiration. Despite high serum vitamin B12 level, elevated level of serum homocysteine, positive anti-intrinsic factor antibody, and T-weighted hyperintense lesions on spinal cord MRI led to a diagnosis of subacute combined degeneration of the spinal cord.

Various characterizations indicated that highly dispersed IrOHCl-like species spontaneously formed on the oxychloride surface, serving as effective and stable cocatalysts for enhancing O evolution.

The present study aimed to demonstrate that the presence of atypical cells with large vacuoles in the cytoplasm of parabasal cells, referred to as vacuolated parabasal cells (VPCs), which are observed in the Pap smears of HPV-positive women, is associated with specific HPV genotypes. Among 2175 patients, 310 with a single HR-HPV infection and cytological diagnosis of high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) or atypical squamous cells not excluding HSIL (ASC-H) were included, of which 86 were infected with HPV16.

TGA is a benign, self-remitting neurological condition associated with hippocampal dysfunction. Meanwhile, certain other neurological conditions, such as cerebral ischemic stroke and hippocampal epilepsy, require appropriate therapeutic interventions.

We previously revealed that acetamide induces characteristic large micronuclei in rat liver, suggesting the possible involvement of chromosome aberrations in acetamide-induced hepatocarcinogenesis. To elucidate the mechanism of large micronuclei formation, in this study we examined time-dependent changes in rat hepatocytes after administration of acetamide.
