Cancers with activating mutations of KRAS show a high prevalence but remain intractable, requiring innovative strategies to overcome the poor targetability of KRAS. Here, we report that KRAS expression is post-translationally up-regulated through deubiquitination when the scaffolding function of NDRG3 (N-Myc downstream-regulated gene 3) promotes specific interaction between KRAS and a deubiquitinating enzyme, USP9X. In KRAS-mutant cancer cells KRAS protein expression, downstream signaling, and cell growth are highly dependent on NDRG3.

. The International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) decided to develop pregnant-female reference computational phantoms, including the maternal and fetal phantoms, through its 2007 general recommendations. Acknowledging the advantages of the mesh geometry, the ICRP decided to develop the pregnant-female mesh-type reference computational phantoms (MRCPs) for 8, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 38 week fetal ages directly in the mesh format.

Lamb waves have become a focal point in ultrasonic testing owing to their potential for long-range and inaccessible detection. However, accurately estimating the flaws in plates using Lamb waves remains challenging because of scattering, mode conversion, and dispersion effects. Recent advances in laser ultrasonic wave techniques have introduced innovative visualization methods that exploit the dispersion effect of Lamb waves to visualize defects via, for example, acoustic wavenumber spectroscopy.

Background: In a dedicated effort to improve the assessment of clonal hematopoiesis (CH) and study leukemia risk following radiotherapy, we are developing a large-scale cohort study among cancer patients who received radiation. To that end, it will be critical to analyze dosimetric parameters of red bone marrow (ABM) exposure in relation to CH and its progression to myeloid neoplasms, requiring reconstruction method for ABM doses of a large-scale patients rapidly and accurately.

Purpose: To support a large-scale cohort study on the assessment of clonal hematopoiesis and leukemia risk following radiotherapy, we present a new method for the rapid reconstruction of ABM doses of radiotherapy among cancer patients.

Shot peening is a surface treatment process that improves the fatigue life of a material and suppresses cracks by generating residual stress on the surface. The injected small shots create a compressive residual stress layer on the material's surface. Maximum compressive residual stress occurs at a certain depth, and tensile residual stress gradually occurs as the depth increases.
