The object of investigations was soda industry waste. Slimes are formed at slimes storage which occupy considerable areas and are considered to be the source of permanent impact on the hydrosphere objects. Slimes storage placement within settlement boundaries and water protection zone of large watercourses leads to the deterioration of sanitary, hygienic and environmental situation and to the rising of risks to health of communities.

One strategy to reduce the burden of hereditary breast and ovarian cancers is to offer genetic testing followed by risk-reducing surgery (mastectomy and salpingo-oophorectomy) for mutation carriers. The extent to which Israeli women who carry mutations undergo these surgeries is not well characterized.
