Unlabelled: Glioblastoma (GBM) is a highly aggressive and recurrent brain cancer characterized by diffuse metastasis at the tumor margins. Radiation therapy is a standard component of current treatment and offers potential for improved patient outcomes. While radiation therapy targets GBM cells in the tumor margins, it may also significantly damage adjacent non-cancerous tissues, leading to reduced quality of life and potentially creating a tumor-supportive microenvironment.

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has led to widespread long-term complications, known as post-COVID conditions (PCC), particularly affecting vulnerable populations such as cancer patients. This study aims to predict the incidence of PCC in hospitalised cancer patients using the data from a longitudinal cohort study conducted in four major university hospitals in Moscow, Russia.

Methods: Clinical data have been collected during the acute phase and follow-ups at 6 and 12 months post-discharge.

Three months before the planned implementation of the European Union Regulation on Deforestation-free products, the European Commission proposed to postpone the implementation by twelve months. The announcement raised the temperature in the debate on this regulation. We put forward suggestions, based on scientific knowledge as well as current EUDR research and implementation projects, on how the 12-month phasing-in period could be used wisely to promote sustainability transitions in deforestation-risk value chains.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to assess the clinical outcome and mid-term efficacy of ultrasound-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound (USgHIFU) as a treatment for symptomatic uterine fibroids at two major European HIFU centers.

Materials And Methods: This bi-center longitudinal clinical study involved the treatment of 100 patients with symptomatic uterine fibroids using USgHIFU (n = 59 in Germany, n = 41 in Bulgaria). Clinical outcomes were evaluated at 6 weeks, 6 months, and 1 year follow-up utilizing the uterine fibroid symptoms-quality of life questionnaire for fibroid-related symptoms and health-related quality of life as well as MRI imaging for determining the fibroid volume.

Purpose: The primary aim of this study was to develop an open-source Python-based software for the automated analysis of dynamic cell behaviors in microphysiological models using non-confocal microscopy. This research seeks to address the existing gap in accessible tools for high-throughput analysis of endothelial tube formation and cell invasion in vitro, facilitating the rapid assessment of drug sensitivity.

Methods: Our approach involved annotating over 1000 2 mm Z-stacks of cancer and endothelial cell co-culture model and training machine learning models to automatically calculate cell coverage, cancer invasion depth, and microvessel dynamics.
