A comprehensive survey of cytotoxic active half-sandwich Ir(III) complexes: structural perspective, and mechanism of action.

Iridium(III) complexes, particularly those with piano-stool structures, have drawn a lot of interest recently as possible anticancer drugs. These complexes, which have displayed enhanced cytotoxicity and cytoselectivity compared with clinically approved drugs like cisplatin, oxaliplatin, and carboplatin, hold promising prospects for further anticancer research. Our review aims to explore the complex interplay between cytotoxic properties, cellular uptake efficiency, and intracellular distribution properties of this class of Ir(III) complexes, considering the variation of the coordination site atoms.

Comparative experimental anesthesia efficacy study of epidural injection at the sacrococcygeal space using ultrasound guidance versus blindness technique in Egyptian donkeys (Equus asinus).

The study investigates the effectiveness of blind and ultrasound-guided epidural injections in Egyptian donkeys in the sacrococcygeal region, a topic of limited research, by comparing and assessing their onset in 20 healthy adult donkeys of both sexes. In the first group, we used ten cadaver donkeys that were humanely euthanized. In the second group, we used 10 live, healthy adult donkeys to assess the efficacy and time of analgesia onset for blind and ultrasound-guided epidural injections at the sacrococcygeal region.

A Case of a Short Stature Patient With Marfan Syndrome: A Tale of Wide Mediastinum.

Acute Kidney Injury in Patients with Chronic Liver Disease: A Review.

Introduction: Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a frequent complication of chronic liver disease (CLD) contributing to high morbidity and mortality worldwide. While liver transplantation (LT) has shown favorable outcomes, early identification and management of AKI is imperative for survival. This review aims to highlight the epidemiology, pathophysiology, management, and prognosis of AKI in CLD.

Brucellosis is a neglected zoonotic disease that has a significant economic and public health impact, especially in endemic countries. This review delves deeply into brucellosis's current epidemiological situation and potential sources of livestock infection in Egypt during the last two decades. MLVA-16 and Whole Genome Sequencing based on core-genome SNP analyses confirm the presence of different and outbreak strains, both older widely disseminated strains and newly introduced ones.
