Background: To understand the relative safety and efficacy of endovascular treatment modalities used for superficial femoral artery (SFA) disease, we performed a network meta-analysis to compare outcomes between percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA), atherectomy (A), bare metal stent (BMS), brachytherapy/radiotherapy, covered stent graft (CSG), cutting balloon angioplasty (CBA), drug-coated balloon (DCB), drug-eluting stent (DES), and intravascular lithotripsy (L).

Methods: We performed a systematic literature search of PubMed from January 2000 to January 2023 to identify randomized trials comparing endovascular interventions for the treatment of SFA disease. The primary end points were technical success and 12-month primary patency.

A critical question in physiology is understanding how tissues adapt and alter their cellular composition in response to dietary cues. The mammalian small intestine, a vital digestive organ that absorbs nutrients, is maintained by rapidly renewing Lgr5 intestinal stem cells (ISCs) at the intestinal crypt base. While Lgr5 ISCs drive intestinal adaptation by altering self-renewal and differentiation divisions in response to diverse diets such as high-fat diets and fasting regimens, little is known about how micronutrients, particularly amino acids, instruct Lgr5 ISC fate decisions to control intestinal homeostasis and repair after injury.

Objective: When synthetic particles are injected into a biofluid, proteins nonspecifically adsorb onto the particle surface and form a protein corona. Protein coronas are known to alter how particles function in blood; however, little is known about protein corona formation in synovial fluid or how these coronas change with osteoarthritis (OA). In this study, protein coronas were characterized on particles incubated within OA-affected or healthy rat knees.
