Article Synopsis
  • * Results indicated that higher goat's milk ratios led to improved antioxidant activity and stronger inhibition of certain enzymes, while sheep's milk increased the levels of specific volatile compounds and fatty acids.
  • * The findings suggest that adjusting the milk type and ratio can enhance the health benefits and flavor profile of Lighvan cheese, potentially creating a functional white-brined cheese.

Background And Aim: The purpose of this research was to ascertain how exposure to extremely low-frequency pulsed electromagnetic fields (ELF-PEMFs) at varying intensities affects apoptosis-related protein expression levels and liver morphology in rats.

Materials And Methods: In this experimental study, 40 Wistar albino rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, with 10 animals in each group: Control, Sham, 1 milli Tesla (1mT), and 5 mT groups. The control group did not expose any application during the experiment.

Article Synopsis
  • - Testicular ischemia reperfusion (I/R) injury poses a major issue in urology, and the study investigates the protective effects of the antioxidant -Anethole on this condition in male rats.
  • - Twenty-eight rats were divided into four groups, with two groups receiving 100 or 200 mg/kg -Anethole during ischemia; results showed significant improvements in the I/R + 200 group compared to the I/R group, particularly in reducing oxidative stress and inflammation.
  • - The findings suggest that -Anethole may offer gonadoprotective benefits during testicular I/R injury, specifically by influencing the transcription factors STAT3 and NF-κB, but further evaluation of potential benefits and side effects

This study aimed to investigate the effect of diabetes on radiation attenuation parameters of the femur and tibia of rats using Monte Carlo Simulations. First, control and diabetic rats were identified and tibias and femurs were removed. Then, the elemental ratios of the bones obtained were calculated using EDS (Energy Dissipative X-ray Spectroscopy).

Bioactive properties, proteolysis and microbiology of model cheeses with and without adjunct lactobacilli (, , and ) were studied during 120 days of storage at 8 or 16 °C. Bioactive properties were observed in peptide fractions (< 3 kDa, 3-10 kDa, < 10 kDa) separated using ultrafiltration membranes. Antioxidant activity of these fractions was determined by radical scavenging assays as ABTS [2, 2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)].
