Incidence and Factors Associated with Graft-Versus-Host Disease in the First Year After Allogeneic Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Transplantation.

Introduction: The use of allogeneic peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (allo-SCT) has increased in Latin America in recent years. In the absence of an matched-related donor (MRD), haploidentical transplantation has emerged as a potentially curative option with increasing availability in the region. Graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) is an important complication with variable incidence rates depending on the type of transplant.

[Inequality regarding maternal mortality in Colombian departments in 2000-2001, 2005-2006 and 2008-2009].

Objective: Describing inequality regarding maternal mortality in Colombia for 2000-2001, 2005-2006 and 2008-2009.

Methods: This was an ecological study. The maternal mortality rate (MMR) was estimated, adjusted for maternal age, Colombian department and causes of maternal mortality.
