The advent of automated insulin delivery (AID) systems in 2020 marked a disruptive event in managing type 1 diabetes, benefiting children and adults alike. By 2024, advances in real-world data and research motivated an update to the French consensus on AID systems to expand accessibility, refine guidelines, and optimize patient follow-up. AID systems have consistently improved glycemic control by reducing HbA1c, increasing time-in-range (TIR), and minimizing hypoglycemia, with significant benefits even for specific populations such as individuals with poor glycemic control, brittle diabetes, children, very young children, pregnant women, those with insulin resistance or gastroparesis, or after bariatric surgery.

Background: Bioimpedance method is used clinically as a surrogate measure of effective tissue heating during cardiac ablation. It does not, however provide information regarding thermal cellular destruction which is the goal of ablation procedures.

Objective: This study investigated myocardial impedance (resistance and reactance) at different frequencies in response to the thermal effect and across temperatures where tissue necrosis occurs during ablation.

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is the leading cause of death from infectious diseases worldwide next to COVID. Miliary presentation is a form of TB that can cause 100% mortality without treatment. Due to lack of a gold standard test, a systematic approach of high index of clinical suspicion and efforts at demonstrating Mycobacterium tuberculosis is imperative to early treatment initiation and mortality reduction.

Pediatric vision loss due to cerebral visual impairment (CVI) is an urgent public health issue, demanding evidence-based (re)habilitation and educational strategies. As with other neurodiverse populations, research on CVI needs to be directly informed by the lived experiences of those affected-children, adults, and their families. In this paper, three individuals with early-onset CVI and two parents discuss sensory substitution and augmentation developed in childhood in the absence of early identification of CVI, and they detail the important impact of the empowering, professionally taught non-visual skills-such as braille, orientation and mobility training, and assistive technology-which were acquired later.
