Background: Clot waveform analysis (CWA) reportedly enhances the interpretation of clotting time measurement. This study aimed to compare CWA between prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) assays for better understanding how to apply CWA for assessing effects of direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs).
Methods: Samples were prepared by spiking plasma with rivaroxaban, apixaban, edoxaban, or dabigatran.
Introduction: In this multicenter clinical study, we aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of the transhepatic arterial administration of granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF)-mobilized autologous peripheral blood (PB)-CD34 cells compared with standard therapy in patients with decompensated cirrhosis type C.
Methods: Patients were randomly assigned (2:1) to the CD34 cell transplant (CD34 cell) or standard-of-care (SOC) group and followed up for 52 weeks. The primary endpoints were the non-progression rate of Child-Pugh (CP) scores at 24 weeks post-enrollment and the safety of the protocol treatment.
BACKGROUND Down syndrome (DS) is the most common genetic disorder, and individuals with DS are known to have a low risk for solid tumors, including breast cancer. In contrast, Breast Cancer Susceptibility Gene (BRCA) pathogenic variant can cause breast cancer. We report a case of primary breast cancer harboring a BRCA2 pathogenic variant in a 35-year-old woman with DS.

Among others, water avoidance stress is a chronic psychological stressor that plays a causal role in the exacerbation and development of bladder dysfunction in rats. In this report, the effects of KPR-5714, which is a selective transient receptor potential melastatin 8 (TRPM8) antagonist, on bladder overactivity induced by water avoidance stress were examined.

Methods And Results: Patients were grouped into two according to coffee intake (caffeine 222 mg) before coronary angiography.
