Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) has become an indispensable tool for biomolecular analysis, yet the detection of DNA signals remains hindered by spectral interference from citrate ions, which overlap with key DNA features. This study introduces an innovative, ultrasensitive SERS platform utilizing thiol-modified silver nanoparticles (Ag@SDCNPs) that overcomes this challenge by eliminating citrate interference. This platform enables direct, interference-free detection and structural characterization of a wide range of DNA conformations, including single-stranded DNA (ssDNA), double-stranded DNA (dsDNA), i-motif, hairpin, G-quadruplex, and triple-stranded DNA (tsDNA).

Nevertheless, its practical applications are hindered by limitations such as low specific surface area, rapid recombination of photogenerated charge carriers, poor electrical conductivity, and restricted photo-response ranges. This review explores recent advancements in the synthesis, modification and application of g-C3N4 and its nanocomposites with a focus on addressing these challenges.

While local excitatory-inhibitory imbalances are recognized as a hallmark at the microscale, the dynamic role of distinct neuron types during seizures remain poorly understood. At the macroscale, interactions between key nodes within the epileptic network, such as the central median thalamic nucleus (CMT), are critical to the, hippocampal epileptic process.

Methods: This cross-sectional study includes adults in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) from 2005 to 2018. The diagnoses of chest pain and CHD were based on self-reports from participants, while depressive symptoms were assessed using the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9).
Objectives: This study evaluated different designs of the conical implant-abutment connection (IAC) and their resistance to microgap formation under oblique loads as specified by the ISO standard for testing dental implants. Also evaluated was the effect of deviations from the ISO specifications on the outcomes.
Methods: Finite element analysis was conducted to compare the microgap formation and stress distribution among three conical IAC designs (A, B, and C) in two loading configurations: one compliant with ISO 14801 and one with a modified load adaptor (non-ISO).
