Quercetin (QUE) has potent pharmacological effects on neurodegenerative diseases, but its low solubility in water and poor bioavailability limit its use in pharmaceutical applications.

Modified Free Gingival Autograft: A Case Report.

The purpose of this case study was to introduce an innovative method utilizing a modified free gingival graft technique, with the goal of accomplishing vertical and horizontal augmentation of soft tissue in the mandibular anterior region. A 35-year-old female patient underwent the modified free gingival graft technique in the anterior mandibular area. Remarkably, after a span of nine months, an increase was noted in both horizontal and vertical dimensions of the gingival tissue.

Root Caries Experience and its Association with Risk Indicators among Middle-Aged Adults.

Introduction: With an increasing number of retained teeth, there is an enhanced susceptibility to periodontal problems with gingival recession, which led root surface exposure to the oral environment and develops the root caries later stages among adults.

Aim: Evaluate the root caries experience and its association with risk indicators among middle-aged South Indian adult dental patients using root caries index (RCI; Katz RV - 1979).

Materials And Methods: The study was conducted among middle-aged (35 to 44 year) adults in the Outpatient Department of Private Dental Institute.

Objectives: Efavirenz (EFV), a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor, is a drug that is frequently included in highly active antiretroviral therapy for treatment of HIV infection. Decreased bioavailability and increased toxicity limit its use. We report a formulation of efavirenz-loaded lactoferrin nanoparticles (lacto-EFV-nano) for oral delivery which exhibited significantly improved pharmacological properties coupled with reduced toxicity compared with its free form.
