A Novel Coumarin Based Fluorescent Probe for Cu²⁺ Detection as well as Applications.

A novel coumarin-based fluorescent probe LY was designed and synthesized in this work. LY could selectively recognize Cu via fluorescence quenching at 522 nm in a DMSO/HO solution. The recognition process experienced minimal interference from other common cations.

Preparation of Carbon Dots with High Fluorescence Quantum Yields and its Detection of Hg in Simulated Wastewater.

Fluorescent carbon quantum dots (CDs) have received widespread attention for their potential applications in optical sensing. Meanwhile, as the importance of mercury ion (Hg) detection in the environment, the exploration of Hg fluorescent nanosensor based on CDs with high quantum yield is particularly intriguing. Herein, nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots (N-CDs) were prepared by microwave method using citric acid as carbon source and urea as nitrogen source, and glycerol as microwave solvent.

In Populus simonii, the N-terminal acetyltransferase subunit gene PsiNAA20 was induced by salt stress and osmotic stress and regulates root development. The spatiotemporal specificity of PsiNAA20-interacting gene expression and translation efficiency suggested dual functions in poplar root development under salt stress and osmotic stress.

Introduction: Individuals' math value beliefs are theorized to influence who persists in STEM. However, the existing findings on gender differences in adolescents' math value beliefs are inconsistent. The goal of this study was to use three existing datasets to help clarify when gender differences emerge for high school adolescents and for whom (i.
