Sodium selenium (Na-Se) batteries are considered promising candidates for next-generation energy storage devices due to their high volumetric energy density. However, the Se cathode still faces the problems of the shuttling effect and sluggish selenium reduction kinetics. Improving the surface adsorption and catalytic process of selenium cathode can greatly solve the above issues and achieve excellent performance to enhance the application of Na-Se batteries.

Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS) is an autoimmune disease characterized by the presence of 2-glycoprotein I (2-GPI)-targeting antiphospholipid antibodies (aPLs) and vascular thrombosis or obstetrical complications. One of its severe manifestations is nephropathy. To examine the role of type I interferon (IFN) and therapeutic potential of tyrosine kinase 2 (Tyk2) inhibition, we administered BMS-986202, a novel Tyk2 inhibitor, in a mouse model of APS nephropathy.

Substrate transport and drug interaction of human thiamine transporters SLC19A2/A3.

Thiamine and pyridoxine are essential B vitamins that serve as enzymatic cofactors in energy metabolism, protein and nucleic acid biosynthesis, and neurotransmitter production. In humans, thiamine transporters SLC19A2 and SLC19A3 primarily regulate cellular uptake of both vitamins. Genetic mutations in these transporters, which cause thiamine and pyridoxine deficiency, have been implicated in severe neurometabolic diseases.

The effect of a new thinking guidance of OPACCUS for shock on the 30-day mortality: A multicenter, prospective, observational, cohort study.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine whether our new thinking guidance named OPACCUS (oxygen metabolism, perfusion, arterial tension, cardiac output, systemic congestion, unregulated host response and search for inciting illness event) with 7 questions you need to ask before shock therapy and evidences provided by critical ultrasound considering hemodynamics, the unregulated host response and inciting illness event would improve mortality in shock patients.

Design: A multicenter, prospective, observational cohort study.

Setting: Intensive care units of 20 hospitals in Southwest China.
