Recalcitrant biofilm infections pose a great challenge to human health. Micro- and nanorobots have been used to eliminate biofilm infections in hard-to-reach regions inside the body. However, applying antibiofilm robots under physiological conditions is limited by the conflicting demands of accessibility and driving force.

Although bony fish have CD8+ T cells, the mechanisms by which these early-evolved cytotoxic cells combat intracellular pathogens remain unclear. In the present study, using Nile tilapia as a model, we investigated the detailed function, mechanism, and evolutionary pattern concerning CD8+ T cells. By depleting CD8+ T cells, they are found essential in combating Edwardsiella piscicida infection.

Elevating the upper cutoff voltage to 4.6 V could effectively increase the reversible capacity of LiCoO (LCO) cathode, whereas the irreversible structural transition, unstable electrode/electrolyte interface and potentially induced safety hazards severely hinder its industrial application. Building a robust cathode/electrolyte interface film by electrolyte engineering is one of the efficient approaches to boost the performance of high-voltage LCO (HV-LCO); however, the elusive interfacial chemistry poses substantial challenges to the rational design of highly compatible electrolytes.

Stroke, a key cardiovascular disease, is impacted by cold spells and heat waves. However, limited sample size and unclear impact on the aging population's prevalence and incidence remain concerns. We aim to explore the association between cold spells and heat waves frequency and stroke in middle-aged and elderly people in China.

Background: Previous studies indicated discrete lifestyle health metrics that benefit cardiovascular health are associated with better prognosis in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), while evidence regarding the comprehensive impact of cardiovascular health remains limited. This study aimed to investigate the association between the overall cardiovascular health indicator, Life's Essential 8 (LE8), and the adverse outcomes of IBD.

Materials And Methods: We included 3,232 IBD participants recruited from the UK Biobank between 2006 and 2010.
