Unlabelled: In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the contribution of neuroretinal degeneration to the pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy (DR), preceding the classic vascular changes associated with DR.

Purpose: This study evaluated the impact of the polypeptide drug Retinalamin on the structural and functional condition of the retina in patients with DR using optical coherence tomography (OCT) (Topcon OCT 2000 FA, Japan) and the Diopsys Nova vision testing system for electrophysiological studies of the visual organ.

Material And Methods: The clinical study included 56 patients (112 eyes) with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and DR without macular edema.

Unlabelled: In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the contribution of neuroretinal degeneration to the pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy (DR).

Purpose: This study assesses the effect of the drug Retinalamin on the functional state of the retina in patients with DR using the Diopsys NOVA Vision Testing System that utilizes electrophysiological (EP) technology.

Material And Methods: The study included patients with type 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) with DR of any stage without macular edema.

High-resolution X-ray techniques were applied to examine the effects of gold nanoparticles (size <5 nm) on natural pulmonary surfactant and pure DPPC monolayers preliminarily formed on water subphase in a Langmuir trough. Hydrophobic and hydrophilic nanoparticles were delivered from nanoaerosol using electrodeposition method. Grazing incidence diffraction, X-ray reflectivity, and X-ray standing wave measurements allow to monitor the changes in molecular organization of lipid monolayer and to locate the position of gold nanoparticles.

New non-crystallizable low-dispersity star-shaped polydimethylsiloxanes (PDMS) containing stereoregular -tetra(organo)(dimethylsiloxy)cyclotetrasiloxanes containing methyl-, tolyl- and phenyl-substituents at silicon atoms and the mixture of four stereoisomers of tetra[phenyl(dimethylsiloxy)]cyclotetrasiloxane as the cores were synthesized. Their thermal and viscous properties were studied. All synthesized compounds were characterized by a complex of physicochemical analysis methods: nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), FT-IR spectroscopy, gel permeation chromatography (GPC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), viscometry in solution, rheometry, and Langmuir trough study.

The memristive elements constructed using polymers - polyaniline (PANI) and polyethyleneoxide (PEO) - could be assembled on planar thin films or on 3D fibrous materials. Planar conductive PANI-based materials were made using the Langmuir-Schaefer (LS) method, and the 3D materials - using the electrospinning method which is a scalable technique. We have analyzed the influence of PANI molar mass, natures of solvent and subphase on the crystalline structure, thickness and conductivity of planar LS films, and the influence of PANI molar mass and the PANI-PEO ratio on the morphological and structural characteristics of 3D fibrous materials.
